And yet those can count back to the previous year if you have EEs and room. We had seven the year before and room on the previous class and five this year with plenty of room (22-7). Ive posted the rule in the past. You can check the archives for it.2. The NCAA limits initial grant in aids to 25 total.
Might as well take whoever at this point. Just because we have numbers now doesn't mean we haven't recruited poorly in the secondary years prior. Depth to me still isn't greatWe have Wilson, Davis, Stewart, and Stiner. Are we really looking for two more?
Go all Gators.
What is it about Clown Town and skank hoes?
Hearing blades is still communicating with UF and they have his parents on board but it is him that has been swayed by Nebraska...not holding out hope though that this staff can close any of these guysWord is Edwards and Henderson are swaying in the wind. Henderson cut communication off and now is trying to contact Rumph. Edwards was blown away and had a great visit. Also an insider thinks the bs Miami tried to pull with the cheating allegations has rubbed them the wrong way. Could have mixed a little of that up as I read it very early this morning but that's the jist of it
Not disagreeing, just curious if they have room for one or two more. They likely took Stiner this early because of Henderson and Blades jumpingMight as well take whoever at this point. This. His parents want him here but he doesn't want to come here. Not much else you can do.
Lots of Gator pumping by former players going on today...I like it!
Let's eat, boys!
how come bama and tenn seemingly keep signing huge classes every cycle?Well for todays discussion you are confusing signing and initial grant in aid offers.
1. The NCAA limits grant in aids to 85 total.
2. The NCAA limits initial grant in aids to 25 total.
3. The SEC limits signings (or announcements) to 25.
4. UF policy on 4 year scholarships limits UF's signings to 85 less returning scholarship players.
5. You can count some December signings on the prior year IF you had room in categories 1 and 2 above.
The NCAA's limits are the real ones. The SEC limit is a PR move and has more to do with what is announced by each school in their signing day press release than anything else. UF's limit is similarly a PR move so that it is not clear when someone is squeezed out..
Apparently UF thinks based on limit 4 that 23 or maybe 24 is the number this year. As other spots open up UF will have more room that is not open today. A prudent coach would concern himself with the UF issue.
I hate to be the one that has to say this but this looks like a plea from the UAA to help recruiting and our image due to the fact that we are completely getting hammered on the trail.

Latest crystal ball has Gators projected to land DT Malik Young
