It varies with policy. One could frame it as all under investigation. For instance, if they claim they can't print DeAndre or Dalvin's name because they haven't investigated enough to know if a crime was committed then why print the female's name if they haven't investigated enough to know if there was a victim of the same crime.Swamp Queen;n245680 said:Question for the legal people (or anyone else that may know)...
Is it normal for police departments to redact information but still leave the victim's name visible? I guess I've never really paid attention until now with the BS that comes out of that particular department, just curious if this is normal behavior. Obviously I know redacting info during pending investigations happens all the time, just seems really f*cked up to continue to publish women's names who are accusing someone of hitting them.

Usually, things are either sealed or completely redacted, or unsealed and completely unredacted (with the exception of PII). I find it amazing that they list all the PII of the victims. Seems to set them up for lawsuit.
Perhaps they feel the juice is worth the squeeze.

Can you imagine if this was a white guy hitting a black girl? There would be some stupid hashtag of black lives matter blah blah blah. No woman should be hit. This kid should do some serious time for being a punk b!tch, and all his homie Nole buddies that think this is cool should do the same. I am fed up with women being mistreated by these **** brained thugs. Grow some nuts, get a backbone, and be a contributor to society you pos.
