Are these really the 2 best teams in college football? Its looked like a slop-fest on both sides to me.

Needless to say, 4 teams is not enough.

Muschamp abhorred the forward pass. With him, runs set up another run.

That took up the entire play clock.

Better than Durkin. With him, runs set up the runs.

The conundrum was a not very good, but undefeated FSU versus a very good TCU. I know Baylor beat TCU, but that loss was better than Baylor's loss IMO. Hindsight...

I'm not sure why people didn't think that Urban Meyer didn't run the football down peoples throats. His offense has always been the run setting up the pass. For some reason Muschamp thought that he had to reinvent the wheel.

No idea either. As Sas has pointed out, many complained non stop when we had Tebow and Harvin with Meyer and Mullin coaching them. By the time2009 ended, there was this extreme desire to abandon what had gotten us there, and become a big, physical team. Yeah, the Tide had stomped us in Atl. But never has one game turned a program's direction like that. It never made sense and will end up costing us a decade.

You have to admit, in spite of the mistakes, Ohio State manned up tonight and made the Ducks look mortal...

Pro style was the big thing there for a stretch, and WM was hired to run it right at the tail end of that "fad." Once Auburn won the championship running the up-tempo spread, things changed. Then Saban started getting beat by teams running up-tempo, and that's the new thing in college football.
