My brother sent me a selfie drinking a Pliny the Elder - he said it was around 9% ABV - made in Cali and very tasty.

Anyone tried the Dogfish Head 90 Minute? Is it hoppy?
I saw it in the store and was thinking about picking up a six.

Pliny the Elder is 8% and about as hop-forward a beer you will ever drink. The infuse hop oil continuously during the boiling process and it's a little light on the malt. It's one of my wife's favorites, but I like a more balanced IPA. Don't get me wrong though, I like Pliny and now that they quit selling it in Washington, it's hard to get.
I used to love the 90 minute IPA about 10 years ago when it came in a 26 oz. bottle. The 12 oz. bottles just don't measure up to my expectation. Again a solid beer, but I'm obviously a beer :snob:
I'm drinking a Stone Ruination right now, but even that used to be better before they recently tweaked the recipe.
Have a great weekend Diddy!
Cheers!

From 'The Beer Advocate' wrt La Trappe Quadrupel:

"It's very smooth too and a beer to be enjoyed over a quiet meditation or pleasant conversation"

Heady Topper is one of the best IPA's to many. Supposed to be very hard to get.

My favorite IPA is Dogfish Head 120 aged for about 3 years. Yeah, the hops are all gone and it's basically a sweet ass barely wine at that point :) but it's delicious. The only IPA's I've been able to enjoy have been 2 Hearted and Jai alai

Any else ever had Old Engine Oil? The reserve version is probably the best Porter I've ever had.

A collection of my favorites:
Ballast point sculpin and grapefruit sculpin
Dogfish head Brown ale
Brooklyn brown ale
Brooklyn Sirachi Ace saison
anything made by Full Sail, especially their Amber ale and Session lagers
Ommegang Rare Vos
St. Bernardus Prior 8
Flying Fish Abbey Double
Cigar City Maduro Brown ale
Duvel Tripel

I am pretty new to craft beers so still have a lot I want to try, but for right now these are my favorites.

We've tried them all...lol. This was/is BY FAR our favorite. It is the ultimate trappist beer. And it's a QUAD...forget all that dubbel or tripel stuff

Have you tried Gregorius? I think it's called a Belgium Strong Ale. It's really it's own thing, but if you like the Quads, you should like it.

Coach is a Polk County boy! That's God's country right there - quite a few Gators from that area.
