Sorry the sarcasm went over my head, just stating my opinion of the previous moron in charge of our football program.

This is exactly why Muschamp should have been fired last season. A competent coach would have lost no more than 3 games with our talent and schedule this year. Honestly a quality coach could have run the table other than the Bama game. Now we are an extra year behind on recruiting because Muschamp got another chance. Could you imagine Mac winning 9 or 10 games, showing UF is on the rise, and then going into this recruiting class.

We HAVE to get some o-line guys or we are screwed. We are an injury away from Westbrook switching to guard or tackle........

Did Muschamp deserve to be fired last year? Yes. Should he have been? I dunno. Who would you rather have as your head coach? Charlie Strong (and pay him 5+ million to do so), maybe James Franklin or would you rather have Mac? We would have been going up against USC/UT/and Penn State last year for head coaches. This year we really didn't have to go head to head with anybody. Michigan was always putting all the marbles in Harbaugh's basket and Harbaugh wasn't coming here in any year. Nebraska and Wisconsin are just jokes not even mentionable in the same sentence as us. Long story short is that he deserved to be fired last year, but the coaching pool was better this year based on competition. At least we got a really good recruiting class last year. Give Chump that much. If Mac can get a class that is a consensus top 20 then we will be doing just fine. It is a great early barometer for how good he is going to be as a head coach. Not saying top 10. Just get a top 20 that addresses OL and LB and gets a few other pieces here and there.

Why couldn't we have hired Mac last year? Did he just become a good coach this past season?

His record at CSU drastically improved this year. Last year he would have been a "meh" hire since he had not proven his method would produce a winner.

I am all positive about the McElwain hire. Just a reminder though that as you view HS highlights of RB recruits you ought
to re-view HS highlights of Adam Lane = he's as good or gooder and u-know-who couldn't see it & kept him benched.
Anyway, UF is strong at the RB position and dangerously weak elsewhere. Still, go for the very best. Just one flip at each
position of need would be a monumental class. Fingers crossed.

Nice!! I know Adonis wanted to be a Gator, but flipped to Bama because of the instability. I think if he visits again, we might get a chance to flip him back .
