People keep saying that Driskel needed to improve his deep accuracy but I don't recall Florida going deep enough for him to be inaccurate. In 2012 his leading receivers were Hammnd Jr. and Dunbar. Those guys weren't exactly deep threats. I'm not saying he is or isn't accurate deep. I'm just saying I never saw a large enough sample size to know either way.

And it is no surprise that Tabor could be 3rd string. You aren't playing at UF unless you can play press man.

Finally, any mention of Trip Thurman getting significant minutes makes me cry rivers of tears.

O line is definitely the biggest concern of the team. Hopefully everyone stays healthy and some younger guys improve throughout the course of the season, like Sharp.

Agreed and thanks for sharing. Hopefully the OL stays in shape. First three games will be a great time to Rep those backups. They need some playing time.

I knew our OL would be the biggest question mark, but TG scares the heck outta me with his assessment of our depth.

We had most of these guys last year. Although the depth/experience may be concerning I'm counting on Summers to be the factor to coaching these guys up. Concerning yes, at a point of panic, not yet. Hoping for healthy Linemen.

Another thing to keep in mind about O-line depth, it'll continue improve as the year goes on. We're not going to lock up the 2nd string and keep them from practicing the rest of the year once camp's over.

7 deep for the entire o-line is terrible. In fact this article does not inspire confidence.

Why would WM say Sharp has a high ankle sprain and will be out 2-3 days?? Impossible

There is still time for backup O-Linemen to get coached...and a couple of games to get them playing time. Huge disappointment that the assessment at this point isn't a lot better.

Because Muschamp is just leading us on. He's really a evil genius doctor that wants us to believe Sharpe may play this year......really Champ is going to redshirt him and then take him back after he completely screws us this year and leaves with our best players for his triumphant return to Athens. I'm so depressed I'm giving my box seats away for all home games:fear:

I thought it a legit question. Even a grade 1 high is 3 weeks.

Then your correct answer would be that he is thinking about redshirting him......If he throws this out there now knowing that "high ankle sprains" if there is such a thing can take up to 6 months to cure, he can determine in the next month or so if the kid is ready to play this year. If not he gets a redshirt......

It's kind of funny, this is TG's opinions, there are others out there that are more positive about the O line and depth. I prefer to link to his stuff because he's a good reporter and because he actually bothers to post here and is very open to answering questions when posed to him.He also really seems to know his stuff and is honest enough to admit when he doesn't know something, also like his writing. I know that he isn't overly fond of Hump and a couple of others but, I do know others are. As Helmet pointed out in another thread there are ways to protect or help an Olineman at times and fortunately we've now got a OC who is smart enough and flexible enough to do just that. One formation that I read about from Zach that they used in practice was lining up with Jones, Taylor and Powell in the backfield with 2 wrs. and the rb's all went out into pass routes, I would think that that is the stuff of nightmares for a DC not to mention a damn good way to slow down a rush.
