There's no cure for stupid. This story was so unbelievable. "Hey, I'm a top ONE HUNDRED national recruit....but I'll take a Gray-Shirt at Alabama vs. going to UF (or any other school)!!"
2017 Alabama DE commit Jarez Parks at ’60 percent chance’ of joining team this fall

Perhaps Jarez Parks might be on the Alabama roster this season after all.
Ronald Freeman, Parks’ coach at Sebastian River (Fla.) High, told BamaOnLine on Saturday that the odds are at least somewhat favorable for Parks to join the Crimson Tide sooner than expected.
“We have been in talk with (Alabama),” Freeman said. “It’s a 60 percent chance that he will be reporting in the fall.”
Parks, a four-star defensive end in the 2017 recruiting class, was unable to sign with Alabama as he had planned on National Signing Day in February because it no longer had a scholarship available to use for him.
Still, Parks decided to commit to Alabama’s grayshirt offer, which would see his enrollment delayed until January 2018.
Earlier this spring, Freeman told BamaOnLine that Parks remains committed to Alabama, even with schools like LSU, Georgia, Michigan and Miami still pursuing him because he has not officially signed with the Crimson Tide.
The NCAA has an 85-player scholarship limit, which means someone currently on scholarship on the Alabama roster would have to leave the team before the season in order for Parks to be placed on one.
The Crimson Tide also had two recruits – three-star kicker Joseph Bulovas and three-star center Hunter Brannon – in its 2017 class who are blueshirting because of the NCAA-mandated 25 initial counters allowed per signing class. That means they will initially enroll this summer as walk-ons but will be put on scholarship once fall practice begins in August and count toward the initial counters on a future signing class.
Parks, per NCAA rules, was ineligible for a blueshirt because Alabama had recruited him, whereas it technically did not with Bulovas and Brannon.
Parks, according to 247Sports Composite, was a top-10 weak-side defensive end and top-20 prospect in Florida in the 2017 class.

Which school annually has the most DL's drafted?
UF cannot offer any of that
Mac tends to throw head cases under the bus regardless of their talent level and their meaning to a program that is spinning slowly as it leaves crayon tip marks getting flushed down the bowl....Jarez Park would have been moved to DT by this staff. He would be larger than some of our DTs last year and this year. At Bammer and in the NFL he will be an undersized weakside (smaller/rush specialist) DE. We have ruined or neutralized several talented DEs already by doing this due to our inability to recruit DTs.
Our reputation precedes us, and it sure as hell affects our recruiting.
I think he also disliked one of our DL recruits if memory serves.
As for Bammer getting kids the lineup for gray shirt offers, kids want to win championships. This isnt new.
He seems like a head case but if he had signed with us he would be our head case, like Lemons.
You didn't say "most", you point blank said he couldn't get to the NFL via UF. I showed you stats that said otherwise.
Here's what you said in case you forgot.
Actually I listed that he "will get drafted" as one of the things we can't offer. I could change the word to "might" get drafted and then my statement would be inaccurate. He is basically guaranteed to get drafted from Bama, we cannot make that statement.
I didn't forget.

Seriously? Alabama didn't recruit those two guys? How f**king stupid is the NCAA. I...I... just can't any more.
So everyone who goes to Bama gets into the NFL. Gotcha.
Every DL that starts does. Parks is a DL right?
Bama has it so good they can tell 3*s to walk on. At UF they're a real priority. There's a huge difference."The Crimson Tide also had two recruits – three-star kicker Joseph Bulovas and three-star center Hunter Brannon – in its 2017 class who are blueshirting because of the NCAA-mandated 25 initial counters allowed per signing class. Didn't we have a highly rated recruit that committed to us as an athlete a couple of years ago that went juco because of grades named Anfernee or L'anfernee? What ever happened to him?As the world turns w/ the Alabama scholarship numbers....looks like Parks may be able to enroll now:

Report: Linebacker Shawn Jennings no longer on Alabama's roster
Alabama’s linebacker depth has apparently taken a hit this week as redshirt freshman Shawn Jennings is reportedly no longer on the team. Jennings was a three-star member of the Crimson Tide’s 2016 recruiting class. Jennings was a member of the PrepStar All-Southeast Region team coming out of high school.
The freshman linebacker’s departure from Alabama was first reported by Matt Zenitz of AL.com. Because of his redshirt status last season, Jennings did not see the field for the Tide in 2016.
Jennings signed with Alabama over offers from Auburn and Memphis coming out of Dadeville High School. He earned Second-Team All-State honors from the Alabama Sports Writers Association in 2014. Jennings is the brother of another Bama linebacker, Anfernee Jennings.
