@Morgan_Moriarty: McElwain on first day of pads: "their tempo overall was pretty good, just okay."

@RobbieAndreu: "Obviously, the defense is well ahead, but there is some good learning going on offensively," McElwain said.

@GatorZoneScott: McElwain says the offense is “quite a bit” different than what team ran last season. Only three days of install so far. “They’re adapting."

@RobbieAndreu: McElwain said the receivers are getting a ton or reps. "A lot of good teaching going on. They're eager and willing," McElwain said.

@Morgan_Moriarty: McElwain on receivers: "That group has probably showed me more out of all the groups."

@GatorZoneScott: #Gators OC Doug Nussmeier says a lot of work has focused on basics. “If you don’t have those, you aren’t ever going to have execution."

@RobbieAndreu: Nussmeier said the offensive players are facing a big transition going to a new offense.

@RobbieAndreu: Nussmeier said the QBs are facing a steep learning curve and it's going to take some time.

@Morgan_Moriarty: Nussmeier: "The biggest thing that jumps out to me is how hard our kids compete."

We had a ton of prospects at practice. Two have committed today and a third one is on the commit watch.
