I don't see the doom and gloom that you guys are seeing.
I watched the game with a buddy of mine(FSU fan), and even he was impressed by the development of Franks. You act like losing to Kentucky is such a shock. Well it's not. You know as well as I do that we had no business winning last year. Talent wise, this is the SAME team. My eyes told me Franks was actually functioning. He's not a great QB by any stretch of the imagination, but I never felt that we were losing because of him. Jordan Scarlett is a joke, period. I would literally trade our OLine for any other in the country. Their weak and their not intelligent. No tight end to speak of.
DLine may very well be our worst position group. And that's saying something. LBs are non-existent. So much so that it's hard to breakdown what I saw. They were literally like ghosts. Cornerback may be our best position group, but they have zero willingness to tackle. And as for the safeties... reference above statement on LBs.
Guys, Mac left us in horrible shape when it comes to talent. But this team is watchable. I'm actually very optimistic. And I'm not an optimist by trade, lol.
Their getting better. I honestly feel this will be a different team by week 5.
It sucks losing. I get it. I felt that anger. And disappointment. I was sick to my stomach at the end. But there was a glimmer of hope. This offense has potential. It's not dysfunctional like Mac's was. It's just blatantly obvious that our talent level isn't up to par. And for the love of God, please, find a dynamic running back. None of these 3 are it. Time to see what you have in the young guys.
Give coach Mullen a break. He'll lose some more games also. I know it's cliche, but he truly needs time to put some blue chip players out there. This team just isn't very talented.
