I think McElwain hinted at a few transfers to be coming our way. ClutchlikeMJ has posted on twitter a request for Dee Liner (SDE Bama 2013). Anyone here have any other ideas on who the few could be?

On another note; It's nice to see Law more cheerful and witty. One of the reasons I hadn't posted in a while was because of his recent (admittedly, understandable) venting posts. As much as I respect his other material, I felt it would be undue to criticize some recent opinions.

Dee Liner is released only to non-SEC schools.

It is the traditional way of releasing players in the SEC so they don't come back and bite you in the ass. Traditional rivals like FSU were also restricted. Foley doesn't believe in restrictions and has not imposed them in his tenure that I can recall.

Connor Brewer? Already graduated with 2 yrs eligibility left. Already announced he's transferring but UF not listed as a possible destination with rumors that he could return to TX although that would be really odd to transfer out and back into the same school.

Mac knows about him, the OSU guy and a couple more, if needed per his presser.

I was under the impression that once you graduate you can transfer wherever you want as long as the degree you pursue is not available at your new school.

I thought we have released quite a few players with the stipulation they couldn't go to an SEC school. I might be wrong on that however.

Seriously, how friggin fantastic is it that we don't have to deal with him, or the previous HC anymore? It was as if we were Egypt, and they were the 10 plagues...

We definitely had the restrictions under Spurrier, although I think the kids can get waivers from the NCAA if there is a hardship issue. I remember however that Daren Hambrick went to USC, but later SOS era guys were limited.

I don't remember when that went away. Later Meyer era perhaps.
