That’s like … not that much anymore.Coaches are mercenaries just like the players have become. He’ll probably get half a mil for two years guaranteed
Executive head coach for defense huh?
I would take that. Not outright demoting AA would be the right move. Napier could have misjudged AA’s current abilities. Hopefully they all work together. It makes perfect sense now that position is being announced. He will be the LB Coach, but he will also be Co Defensive Coordinator. Sounds like AA is getting demoted and Napier is trying to fix the defense. One of the very few steps in the right direction he has made.
He takes over for AA when he gets fired...then for Napier once he gets fired"executive head coach for defense, co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach" is quite the title.
Who knows may be to the point he had a couple players making more than he doesThat’s like … not that much anymore.
How would he know which hat he’s wearing? Can he weigh in twice and so overrule AA ? What could go wrong."executive head coach for defense, co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach" is quite the title.
I don't think it's him. The dread pirate Roberts is always around Guilder this time of year.I guess we'll know which one is really the DC when we find out how much we're paying Roberts.
Shame about the missed opportunity of squeezing dread pirate into that list of titles.
It enables them to pay him more.WTF is with all the titles? People who worry about titles are typically people you don’t want.
Double that, I bet.Coaches are mercenaries just like the players have become. He’ll probably get half a mil for two years guaranteed
Better? Not sure. He has a long resume.... of coaching at ****ty schools.Rumors on tos is Sling blade is set to hire Ron Roberts (Auburns DC) as his new lb coach. If true that'll be a much better hire then we were expecting.
The pedigree just jumps off the page...Better? Not sure. He has a long resume.... of coaching at ****ty schools.
He was Napier's first DC at Lafayette. I guess that is better than an intern.

Why would a successful DC who just signed flipped two of our most promising DL leave Aubrin to share the role as DC?He's treading water at this point.
2 reasons. Auburn had effectively already hired his replacement (Charles Kelly) and he previously worked as DC with Napier at ULL.Why would a successful DC who just signed flipped two of our most promising DL leave Aubrin to share the role as DC?
