As for softball, the winner of Auburn/UT will now play UCLA. Then we play the winner of that game.

The Michigan offense scares me.

In the softball tourney, they flip the bracket somehow. LSU, with their loss, goes to the other half and the winner of Bama-Oregon will come over to our side. Strange.
I think this is brilliant.

Yeah, me too. We beat Michigan twice earlier in the year. Scores were 2-1 & 7-4 Gators.

Maybe the baseball title should of mentioned Regionals :headscratch:
I started a CWS thread to keep track of all the baseball games. Figured we could keep 1 thread through the whole thing instead of each step of the way.

My guess is whoever merged baseball and softball also gets confused when they see this.

Probably should just go ahead and start a new one, Tag. Don't think they can undo it.

I too, would like a new thread on our men's CWS games… but since Tag started some with baseballs framing the
title I've felt unworthy of starting baseball threads. Start a new one Tag. Gators have game today 5/30 at 7pm.

So strange that it is 60 degrees for the auburn/ut game and fans are under blankets.

Are they under blankets with their cousins?

No offense Tag, that wasn't even the emote I selected. I just think this place has multiple thread phobia. I would prefer a thread for each stage of the tournament: regionals, super regionals, and CWS.

I don't really care. There was no thread at all for baseball before I started one. So it must not have been that important to anyone. Seems like most of the guys on here would rather watch softball. :uhoh:

You can start 3 threads a day about baseball for all I care.

Bye, bye UT. Those orange pants were hard to look at.

Does anybody know how much Tim Walton makes?

This from a 2010 article. He made $253K in 2009. I'm sure it's gone up since then...

Mary Wise, the volleyball coach, and Tim Walton, the softball coach, earn a lot less than Meyer’s $4.5 million a year. But with annual salaries and benefits in 2009 of nearly $365,000 and $253,000, they are paid substantially more than their peers in their sports. “They’ve earned it,” said Foley, who pays all of his coaches handsomely.

Definitely speaks to the disparity in funding for the various college sports.

Gee who knew that Foley pays all of his coaches handsomely?? Seems like I heard him low ball football assistants, which might be true or it might be our assistants are not that valuable.

Now football brings in more money and the pay scale is different.

As to tonight's game Auburn looks bad, it would be nice for them to win but probably not happening.

Auburn up 6-5 over UCLA in the 3rd. Go tigers, let's make this an SEC-only run to the title game.
