my Mom would get the half and half (sweet tea with the unsweet tea...) kind of evened it out a bit.

There is a chick-fil-a right outside our neighborhood, so once a week we get a gallon of sweet and a gallon of unsweet.

This - then ask for a splash of lemonade too.
If I'm feeling really bold I'll just ask if I can come back there and mix it.:proud:

I've never been bold enough. :waiting:

I've never understood the appeal to add lemon to sweet tea. [\puke]

I actually can't stand sweet tea... even though my parents swore by it.
I do like unsweetened tea with lemons or lemonade.
Does that still make you want to puke? :)

I can't stand lemon in my tea either. I get in moods for sweet tea and unsweet. Also iced tea and hot tea.

Lemon? :shakehead:

What about instant? :shakehead:

The last time I made my own tea I used Vespa loose tea. It was a big brand in SC. Made the concentrate in a coffee maker then mixed in 2 cups sugar per (eventually) 2 gallon pitcher. One gallon wouldn't make it past lunch.

Not a huge tea drinker overall, but I do like the Pure Leaf bottled brand of tea, that's some good stuff.

For some reason I've become a coffee-holic... even drinking it in the late afternoons or early evening.

I also haven't been sleeping well lately... probably not related in any way whatsoever.

This is exactly how I make mine about twice a week. I used to use a cup of sugar but cut back to 1/2 cup. Every time I pour a 30oz yeti mug, I add a big splash of Simply Lemonade. I'll drink 2-3 of these a day.

I actually have a preference for lime over lemon in sweet tea.
Just a note from my friend who is a deli manager at Publix - Publix sweet tea has no caffeine.

Those were great. And the cans were great for storing stuff. I currently have one with assorted tubes of caulk and silicone stored in it.
They had great pretzels too.

didn't they have their own delivery trucks at one point in time?
I always like these because my youngest brother's name is Charles and he goes by Chip

Yes they did. The trucks were painted like cans.
I have a colleague at work who is also a Charles who goes by Chip.
