We did burgers the other night, and something in my brain needed mustard, A1 and pickled jalapeños. ‍

@cover2 I’m not sure how MF’s do burgers without toasting a bun...both sides of each half

That looks good!

My wife has be doing the stir with cauliflower rice these days. It is actually pretty good. Besides after some jerk seasoning or sriracha sauce.... it all tastes the same.

We do a lot of blackened shrimp and fish, this thing is going to be great for that. As for bacon grease, doesn’t everyone have a container of essence de pork ;)

Old traditional tonight...

Even though the flattop is at the lake, I still smashed the burgers in an old seasoned pan. They turned out pretty well. Toasted buns are a big key :highfive:. Lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and mustard. For some reason as I’ve gotten older, I don’t want ketchup on a burger. I like the flavor profile without it.

I love that you got enough onion on there to taste. Great looking cheeseburger.

An update on the air fryer basket test. They get hot and fast! The fan is a bit annoying.

Biscuit test, needs to be on low, warming basket on right. Stays at about 170

Some tots.
You can see the low vents from the basket that held the chicken. This allows air flow underneath, but you have to be careful or grease can run out when you pull the basket.

The plastic handles do a very good job of staying cool. The electronic ignition works good on all 5 burners

Thanks for the update. I wondered if I would like an all-in-one unit like that with cooking on the top too. Does it get crowded or crazy if two people are trying to do two different tasks like that?

If the people work together not too bad, only takes a second to slide your hips and pull out a basket to check.

Keeps all the heat out of the kitchen. I had been moving a convection oven and an induction hot plate out to the porch, plus the grill. I think this might put all three of those to the sidelines and just have this and a smoker

Happy belated Anniversary. Here's to 20 more years.

FWIW, the wife and I will celebrate 35 years married on Labor Day this year.
