Let's watch Timmy's reaction. I think we all know it will be just another example of how to take the high road when the haters come calling. My guess is that Tim uses that money for his charities. But whatever, does Elway do speaking engagements for free?

Makes my day. I was at the 1990 Super Bowl, and staying at the same hotel as the Broncos. Saw Elway coming out the entrance on the way to the bus with that **** eating toothy smile of his, all full of confidence. Saw him get absolutely destroyed by Montana in the game. It was worth twice the price of admission. Can't stand the guy.
On the walk to the stadium my wife was begging me to sell the tickets, and go shopping. In almost all things in my life it was yes dear. In this case it was a rare exception, I simply said you know I hate shopping and you know this is the Super Bowl right? No dear.
Truth is other than Montana wiping that grin off Elway's face, it wasn't what I expected. Bunch of corporate types, including me, who were doing business and not paying much attention to the game. Crowd noise in a dome didn't approach the noise in the swamp, not even close. They must add crowd noise for the broadcasts. I went to one more when it came to Jax. Neither was a life changing experience.

I have no idea of the validity of these claims. And I don't even have an issue with him not being in the league. He didn't fit at all and I don't think he was ever going to be an NFL QB. But why the need to take unsolicited shots at Tebow 5+ years later? That makes no sense to me, and is just more bad look for Elway who's arguably made some of the worst QB decisions of any GM since Mannng fell into his lap.
And as gator1946 said, I get that you eventually won a few SBs later in life when you had a crazy strong run game and had the luxury of playing the Falcons. But you'd think with his arrogance that he was Montana or Brady. He was more Jim Kelly with a little better luck.

That's just it, without Terrell Davis and that oline which was incredible... he is Dan Mario. Not even Jim Kelly good, Jim went to 4 straight Super Bowls, and beat some great quarterbacks getting there.
He has been a schitty GM, they were showing all the qb's under him last night. Outside of peanut head who sexually harrasses trainers, they have all been backups at best on the other 31 NFL teams (including Tebow). You take shots to make it look like you know what you are doing, but instead it just looks like another bad decision.
