@gwapojas: Rumor-mill has Urban Meyer to Jacksonville Jags and serious talks with Morgan Scalley for Defense. Say what you will about Third-and-Scalley, but IMO this would be a huge loss for our consistent and top tier defense

Genes done gone smell blind.

@GeneFrenette: Can confirm #Jaguars will interview Titans' OC Smith on Sunday. Titans' game starts 12:05 Nashville time.

@uSTADIUM: Some college coaches that have been mentioned by @AlbertBreer to join Urban Meyer should he take the #Jaguars job: ex-Texas coach Charlie Strong, ex-Rutgers coach Chris Ash and current Colorado State coach Steve Addazi.

Urban cant pull the trigger anymore. nfl too big for him Hes done it at Florida and Ohio State. He can rest on his laurels. The jags would be crazy to hire him. Go hire Eric Bienemy and spend that 100m in salary cap. There are gettinng Lawrence. They need a coach there for 5 plus years to begin with. That aint Meyer.

Oh and maybe bring Tim Tebow in for an organizational position.

After last night's game is Lawrence still considered better than Jones? Somebody who follows this could maybe explain. Thanks.
:bwahaha:

Yes. One thousand fold better. Mac Jones had the easiest QB gig in perhaps the history of college football. He’s in for a rude awakening in the NFL.

This may be the worst take in the history of message boards. No offense.

Jones seems to be in the mold of the Steeler's "Big Ben", Lawrence more like Patton Manning.
Either has the potential to be great. To me, the body of work would favor Lawrence.

The longer Urban waits the more potential damage to the Jags. He needs to decide so they can move on. If he has to be convinced then he's not their guy.

Potential damage? Dude, there's no recruiting in the NFL. I doubt he's been formally offered the job yet, or they are still negotiating figures.

I mean that as in if they wait forever they'll get stuck with plan C, D, or E if he says no because other teams will be hiring. They're all interviewing the same people except Urban. My understanding is Saleh is their plan B and the Jets are trying to sign him right now.

He is like Ken Dorsey of the 99-02 Hurricanes.

@MikeGarafolo: Last I heard, no formal interview between the #Chargers and Urban Meyer but when I said yesterday the delay with the #Jaguars was partly due to his exploring all options, this is what I was driving at.
