How does he know that Montinar is an excellent recruiter? From what I could find, Montinar has never actually recruited against the big boys. So, we have no idea how he will do.

this. The guy certainly has been involved with big programs but we have no clue what he will do in a bigger position. Sounds like another cheap “yes Daddy Grantham, whatever you say” type of hire

We waited this long to hire a nobody. It’s probably been posted but I read on a couple different boards that Grantham wouldn’t let go of control and be a co-dc. Should’ve fired his ass if true but Dan doesn’t care. I miss having a coach that wanted to win and made the calls it took to win.

I thought the same thing. If true it shows he can get away with anything and Dan doesn’t have the balls to tell him what to do.

Hopefully this new hire surprises but such a meh hire when Bama is hiring former nfl head coaches.

B/C the guy's last name is "Hummer" so clearly he knows about something..This DB coach sounds like a French wine or water. WTF?

All I can say is it is nice to see that so many are climbing aboard the Cousin Eddie sux dyck as a HC Bandwagon. We had a good crowd before he was hired, but now the train is almost filled.
