I don't know why you say that.

Clearly we are currently 5th, behind Alabama, atm, lsu, and ugly.

so this expansion will add Okie to the list. when it comes to which of Urban's understudies is the most incompetent overpaid loser, I'm not certain that Douchebag Dan beats Herman.

there's a good chance we only fall to six, not seventh. and I've been told that anything in the top 10 or 15 is not bad at all.

You know Texas fired Tom Herman, right?

I think this is click bait. But I really like the idea of seizing the power and $$$ from the NCAA and returning it to the SEC and maybe another conference or conferences.

The "playoff" would be 2 rounds within the conference then another round or two outside.

No NCAA immediately taking 1/2 off the top then splitting the remained with 300 nobodies.

Watching the meltdowns in the Big 10 forums is quite fun.

Okie St waiting nervously hoping Mizzu jumps to Big 10. SEC fans agree.

One thing that makes me a little nervous is Stricklin and Mullenz are such pu$$ies they might want to vote no to avoid getting their crap pushed in again by OU and scared of mean old Saban moving to the east. Some of the posters here feel the same and are worried we might not be able to keep up our NY 6 champions record (last year didn't count because vacation). Good God, these are embarrassing times to be a Gator.

Money talks and this is HUGE $$$$. The NCAA is talking about destroying the conference championship game (our first cash cow), the bowls, and raiding the money. This is the plan to stick that up their arse sideways. Run our own playoff within the superconferences.

Guess what the top 2 or 4 from 4 superconferences looks like?

I think Alabama loves having an easy win against Tenn on their schedule, which is why Auburn didn't move to the East when Mizzou joined the conference. They could go the "pod" route, but I don't think it's necessary unless they just want to pacify A&M by putting them in a different pod than Texas.
While we Bama fans do enjoy beating UcheaT year in and year out, it hasn't always been that way. They have held their own against Bama over the years with a few win streaks to brag about, just not recently. ;)

Isn't it possible that the divisions could stay as they are and just add Texas to one division and Oklahoma to the other? They could remain permanent rivals (as cross division opponents) and play the other teams within their division. Of course, that would probably require that all SEC teams play 9 conference games each year. Something that if I'm not mistaken about, Saban is opposed to.

Wonder if Gundy will finally be willing to leave, once okie states left with their peters in their hands?

This is exactly what’s going on, but I wonder what the talk early this summer with expanding the NCAA playoff to 12 teams had to do with this recent news? Sources say talks have been going on for 6 months so clearly the NCAA got wind of it.

The NCAA can't do a damn thing to stop it.

All the power conferences are about to breakaway, I suspect. But it will be the Power 4.
