Seems to me it's becoming more and more common to dispense with the geographical leanings and look at what revenue a prospective school (football program) could bring to the conference.
I think the days of alignment based on where you're located are gone.
there really isn't anything super about a pac 20 except the travel costs.I think this is just the beginning of 4 Super Conferences. Give the NCAA the middle finger.

I still prefer an 8-team playoff over 4 or 12, so I like the idea of it being made up of the four Superconference Champions plus four at-large bids consisting of the next four highest-ranked teams regardless of conference.I think this is just the beginning of 4 Super Conferences. jokes on him, cousin eddie's been here for 4 years and the place is partly destroyed already.Another gem from the Texas State legislature:
Texas state senator Charles Perry, from Lubbock and Texas Tech, invokes Christmas Vacation to UT’s president:
“I feel bad for the SEC. Cousin Eddie's coming home and he don't leave until he’s wrecked the whole house."

You want there to be six Super Conferences, or you're saying six teams from four Super Conferences? I don't believe there are enough super teams to make six SC's.This.
I like 6 Super Conferences and 2 at large...Or 4 wild Card
Let's be honest here. There aren't enough super teams to make 2 super conferences...You want there to be six Super Conferences, or you're saying six teams from four Super Conferences? I don't believe there are enough super teams to make six SC's.

So to get to six you're elevating the Great Plains Athletic Conference, featuring powerhouses such as Dakota Wesleyan, Briar Cliff and the College of St. Mary, to a super conference? Now hold on a second there, buddy. I thought you said you don't drink??I'd have 6 Conferences and force the rest into FCS.
72 - 96 Teams.
I'd bring back the old SWC...SEC, BIG, PAC, ACC, PSC ( PLAINS STATES)
NO Non- Conference Games...except Exhibition
