Need to shut down the Tom Herman Scott Frost love right now.
Can he recruit? No. Recruiting at UCF didn't have a meaningful uptick because of him. Nor has Nebraska. No reason to think he'd be any better at Florida.
Can he coach? Meh. Not from looking at Nebraska. He had one memorable season at UCF. ONE. Now keep in mind that UCF historically recruits better than anyone else in that league. Statistically they should win every game. Frost got lucky and grabbed a pretty good QB. Then played an Auburn team in a bowl game that Auburn was at only in name.
And the biggest strike against him is taking his UCF staff with him. Exactly what we shyt on Mullen for doing. Elite Head Coaches change staff as often as they change underwear.

There is nothing in Frost's resume that says he deserves a shot in G'ville. Other than he's not you-know-who.
agree, and i was hoping for frost, or at least would have taken him ten fold over dipsht dan. but hes done nothing but fail miserably and consistently make wrong decisions along the way. the first one was taking that shthole job in the first place.

This is how fan bases lose fantastic coaches, by being spoiled and having ZERO patience. You can tell Mullen is already over all of these spoiled gator fans.

Don’t even try to compare these two coaches.

Fantastic?

Does a fantastic coach lose to an lswho team who can barely bring enough scrubs to field a team? At home???

Does he keep the DC who got torched all year long, who made no adjustments to help out his players?

Does he keep the deadbeat asst coaches who put almost zero effort into recruiting?

While I’ll catch flak for this, DM has at least made football way more fun to watch than wm and jm. However, he’s incredibly stubborn about a lot of things and overly loyal to people who don’t earn it. His “relentless effort” motto is admirable, but appears to apply only to his players while getting very selective about how it applies to himself and his staff.

But I’m sure Dan appreciates that you got his back, Mrs. Mullen.

**** him. you live with your stupid decisions.

Possibly the most sought after coach of that offseason. Then...

Leaves central Florida to move to Nebraska, gets his house robbed, including championship rings, within the first month, goes 14-21, gets fired and run out of town by his alma mater, sees his value become a fraction of what it once was, watches previous school become a P5 program(at least for now), takes a job at Foot Locker.

Really an incredible story.

well, on the bright side, at least he didn't take the Lane Kiffin school of 'how to win friends and influence people'.

I think he'll part ways with the huskers, go to a smaller school, reestablish himself, learn his lesson and in a few years, head to a larger school.

Next OC in the Saban Rehab Program?

Can you imagine Saban running tempo with 5 stars at every position and scoring 72 points or s before half?

I'm not so sure. I think Ucf was a perfect fit then because it earned him recognition without being overly visible. I think now that the world has seen there's a strong possibility of at least a hint of DS, he'll probably see opportunities that reflect that.
