I just watched a guy dribble the ball for 25+ seconds while the defense hounded him and he never once considered giving the ball up. I see not much has changed.

Not a bad half considering our best two guards got in foul trouble. Need Appleby and McKissic to play smarter, can’t afford them to go out for long stretches.

Early assessment:

We have defensive talent that should gel over time
Very little size

Ballhandling will be a weakness all year

Outside shooting will be inconsistent

Success must come from ball movement and attacking
Castleton, Durugi and Appleby have improved

McKissic, Fleming and Felder will need to adjust to SEC play.

Jones must play steady although looks to be inconsistent on his shot. Will be streaky.

Lots of kinks to smooth out prior to conference play.

I do like the team defense despite our size
