I just read his profile in the link, interesting career. I then laughed at the rating you got from donk.
Randomly picking some generally brown sounding name?

I dont care about brown, yellow, black, white, but I want someone who understands how to build a football program and stay onnthe cutting edge, not the Big Lots basket.

UNM doesnt seemt to fit the bill in anyway.

It's the idea of going with another guy named Eddie that has me most concerned.

Two comments:

- Although many of the accusations are serious, a lot of the claims are pretty benign “micro aggressions” that hardly warrant a discussion at all and represent the over the top sensitivity of the times

- I honestly can’t see how Scottie can survive this unless the UAA converts to full hypocrisy mode.

Some of this is over the top. But, jeeze, if by some crazy twist of fate I found myself the coach of a "big time" women's basketball team, I'd have to stop and look in a politically correct handbook before I said anything, anytime, to any player; whether said conversation would be complementary, corrective, or nothing at all. Those would be some long practice sessions.

Yes I know as used here "big time" is an oxymoron.

Also yes you could pay me enough money to be an Athletic Director (everyone has his price), but I sure wouldn't be buying a house at my new destination.

It's bad enough if you're good at what you do. It's fatal, I hope, if you suck.

I get the feeling that Stricklin doesn't have the freedom to do his job anymore and stuff (like the football debacle) is just static right now.

So when are they gonna fire this clown? How long would it really take to confirm these accusations? Why does this university move at a snail’s pace on everything?

Hopefully the Snowflakes will organize a protest over this.

I’ll proudly stand by the chics and fight for women’s equality (my apologies for the binary gender reference)

Hey Hey
Ho ho
Strickland has
Got to go.

If Strickland had any brains at all he'd fire Mullen tonight to divert attention away from this and try and garner some goodwill from the fans. It may be beyond that now.

One thing I have to give Fooley credit for; he successfully sold our fanbase on the narrative that he was the greatest AD of all time. Plenty of pumpers still believe it for whatever reason. I'm always surprised at the amount of Gator fans who think Foley hired Spurrier for instance.

Fuchs was on notice of these issues too. He fostered this complacency, as he has with the football program. This should be coming together as a perfect storm of embarrassment to have the board of directors (not of the UAA, but the school) take action and send clear messages on all fronts. Once you fire Fuchs, the UAA must act against Stricklin.

Would you take firing Fuchs and Stricklin (perhaps a more full UAA house cleaning) for one more Mullen year to allow the new AD to make the hire. I would. It would also allows the new person to demonstrate a commitment level equal to what is required to win.
