Let some other P5 program beta test the guy. I’d rather have someone with big-time hands-on experience.

Inbreeding...Same old coaches with the same old results.

He used a whole lot of words to say nothing. This guy is as plain as a glass of water.

Two red flags on Napier.
David Waters had some SW Louisiana pundits on. They think Napier walks on water. But in praising him they said two things that are .
1) He is "fiercely loyal" to his staff and will want to bring them with him. So not only do we get a Sunbelt coach we get sunbelt assistants. Don't expect him to build a staff.
2) His #1 priority is job security. He talks about it a lot. So you've got a guy who is going to make safe choices. You know. Like run the clock out with 2 mins remaining in the half so that nothing bad happens.

After three failed experiments and 11 years that I can’t get back, I have a small appetite for high risk, high reward. First rule of asset management: identify your time horizon.

Donkey rosted me for the Napier reference yesterday, I think the ink is dry and Strict has it done.

Nola =NewOrleansLouisiana and LSU still seems to think they have Riley. Napier is indeed their fourth choice but he’s headed to UF. I hope LSU gets their “5th” choice.

But none of those 3 were dynamic...Mullen was no Urban. I want a SOS young gun or someone who has never got real chance with something to prove.

Fwiw and I don't know if he is reliable at all I know he broke the chip Kelly thing which was wrong. He said he has a source that says kiffin visited arch Manning and told Manning he was going to uf and wanted him to be his qb. Like I said I would take this with the smallest grain of salt on earth but it's interesting none the less.

You’re forgetting the infamous Coach in Waiting, the lightning of a man who made love to Foley for four solid hours straight. We were supposed to be ready to forget Meyer over this dynamo, remember?

Napier? REALLY? THIS is the guy you want to relate to today's recruits? Geezus Chyst. He would make the dead want to STAY dead just listening to him. Coach speak double downed with coach speak. Good god.

Was not my choice. I would have hired SOS again before most of these 3.

By not hiring a Sunbelt bore who thinks the 2 minute warning is a warning to do nothing to nothing bad happens. Championships aren't won with that milquetoast pablum....

Kinda sounds like Zook. And so guess who we will probably take?
