Almost every coach comes up through lower ranks as a head coach or is a coordinator with no head coach experience. Saban coached Toledo, Meyer Bowling Green, etc.

I don't WANT a Sabin. I want someone to come in and do what Spurrier did, turn the SEC upside down. That doesn't mean I want a Spurrier, I mean I want somone to come in with their own aura and demanor and terrorize the SEC in their own way. Not sure I'll ever see that again what's left of my life time but I can sure as hell dream....

That's an issue in N.O. but LSU takes a totally different approach than UF...another reason recruiting is easier at LSU.
