My prediction is we sign anywhere from 7 to 9 (if it's 9 there will be a surprise). My guess:

-Smack
-McClellan (could go Oklahoma)
-Lyons
-Conner
-Williams
-Livingston
-Moore (ND is his other option)
-Washington (he's committed to UGA right now)

Surprise is either Wilson (UGA favored) or the low ranked QB Robbie Roper from Woodstock, GA. DT Kalvin Dinkins is another possible surprise, but he seems like he's going elsewhere.

If we get Washington & McClellan, along w/ the 3 OL's, that's not a bad day (2 DT's & 3 OL's). If we get 1 more DL and one more OL on NSD in Feb, that's a good class in the trenches for year 1 (remember, Mullen signed ONE heavy DL, who later transferred in year 1- and 4 OL's, 3 of which either transferred or never played).

Julian Humphrey may be trending our way. Talk is UGA is taking 4 and may be getting pushed out.

I hope he comes here. Watched some youtube video of him his junior year and ha has some good coverage skills and isn't afraid to make a tackle.. He would be a good get.

Swamp 247 broadcast thinks DBs Moore, Wilson, and Humphries, and DT Washington are very much in play. ND’s coaching change, getting Raymond, and UGA’s numbers at DB and DT help us.

soneone in their thread said McClellan is sticking with Florida after his visit here.

It made it easy to believe Napier Sunday when he said, “I can’t tell you how humbled I am to be here.”

Billy Napier's humility shines in first day with Florida football

See those quotation marks (" ")? Do you know what they mean? All the humility comments come directly after Napier claimed how humble he was to get the job.
What a wonderful job you did there reaching so far. You must have a seriously formidable arm length. You'd have to be lead based to be that dense, please tell me you're just yankin my chain.

I fear our posters may not initially embrace CBN's recruiting. His repeated emphasis on evaluation suggests to me that his evaluation may frequently disagree with the recruiting services evaluation so beloved by donk and otbrrs.

For those who were not fans of the BN hire, are you concerned he’s going to sh1t the bed next season because he’s adamant about implementing his process? Do you think he has alluded to us to “be patient” because the way he wants to do things might cause us to lose a lot of games next year?

I guarantee you he wants to win games. Notice he hasn’t made any stupid comments about thumb wrestling to prove he’s a competitor, or bragged his dog could run the offense. I think he’s legit, and would not make personnel decisions in spite of victories.

Please tell me, Napier haters, if I have that wrong.

I am most certainly not a Napier hater, but to answer some of your questions:

1. I don't like the hire because he is a terrible fit for UF and its program.

2. I think he wants UF fans to be patient because he is a bit of an excuse maker. That has also been the case in with some press conferences at Louisiana after some questionable in game decisions.

3. I am sure he wants to win games HIS WAY. We shall see if he is flexible.

4. He has made the obvious stupid lie that he is humble which is completely belied by his actions since taking the job. (I suspected he was "coached" up on this as a reaction to Mullen's perceived cockiness. UF's UAA is constantly fighting the last war not the current war.)

5. He most certainly seems willing to make personnel decisions that will cost UF wins next year and maybe the next couple or three. He is apparently building for the long run in a program that has fired each of the last three coaches and 4 out of its last 5 coaches in the 3rd or 4th year.

I'd rather have a 3 Star whisperer than a 5 star non developer like the dwags have
we had that, and he got his :kiffin: pushed in by the 5 star non developer on a regular basis. Id rather have a guy with a floor that's higher than another guys ceiling myself, but i also don't enjoy punching myself in the dck either, so...

Sofla strikes me as the kinda guy whos never experienced a full scale, necessary tear down and rebuild. I've been a part of one, and worse, helped lead one at a later point in my career and none of it is pretty or pleasant for quite a while. There is ALWAYS significant attrition, often of individuals traditionally thought of as key and fundamental to success, and rarely does one occur without serious questioning of methods, approach, and lack of positive results early. Those questions and concerns often come from the very individuals at the top who directed full-scale changes to start with.

Based on my experience, I see nothing concerning with what's happening so far, further I'd say that he's ahead of schedule for what needs to be done and everything so far is what I would expect to see. I'll even add that I'm seeing positive signs VERY early which is definitely not the norm and is an indicator to me that not only does he know what he's doing and doing it confidently, but that he's doing some of the early worst and most difficult actions with high efficiency and minimal negative impact.

I'm not going to say have faith b/c folks are already griping about that line of argument. I'll just say, as someone who has more experience with this type of a complete transformation than most, I'm extremely impressed with what I see.
