They got Green from his job at Wendy's? He was said to be happy there.
I sure as hell did a double take when I got to the line that said he'd be joining at the end of the NBA season. Apparently he's been on Billy's staff in Chicago in a similar role.

I thought he was still playing in Europe. Time flies!

I'm feeling pretty good about this hire so far. He's put together a very nice staff. He comes from a winning pedigree of coaches dating all the way back to highschool. In the one game I watched of his team I was very impressed, particularly with what they on the offensive side of the floor. From the looks of his team last year and the players we're going after in the portal , he's putting a higher premium on shooting and skill. It'll be interesting to see how the roster shapes up for next year. Looks like we're gonna have to take in alot of new players.

If Taurean is on staff and Lee doing radio, I would think we might have some appearances by Corey, Joakim and Al.

Green is a classic case of a too short, too slow, below average shooting PG who just made the whole damn team a LOT better. Dude could run an offense as well as anyone and mentally tough as they come. Unfortunately for him, his skill set didn't translate the NBA as it had gone away from the days of John Stockton.

I like the hire.

He was not a below average shooter. Just not quite tall/quick enough to play PG in the NBA.

Career average in NBA is 28% from the field and 18.2% from 3 pt. His college stats were good his senior year, but more than likely due to wide open looks.

That's in 17 games over a season playing for 2 different teams averaging 1.5 attempts per game.

Yep. If he was an average or better shooter, he would have had more attempts. Shooting wasn't his strong suit. Nothing wrong with that in an era where PGs weren't required to do more, he was just born 20 years too late for the NBA game.

That's not how it works.

TG was a good shooter and made a bunch of big time clutch baskets for us when we really needed them.

Dude didn't get any freaking playing time. That's why he didn't get more attempts
