The 2022 Gators will win even games that enemy fans right now think themselves favored in. Just enough of AR "unaccounted-for" big-gain scrambles, interspersed with frozen rope pass completions to bring everyone's A-game ... AR game boys are coming.

We won't be losing ground via "Grantham dry-heaves" this year. And, IMO, that is the tipping fulcrum catapulting Gators into the winning column, building pride for defensive star attitudes & application. Our backups will play much better = with fewer let-downs to be taken advantage of. Should have nearly half the stupid penalties in '22 = far fewer momentum derailments.

O & D will start better than in the past and they will consistently show improving development game after game. And these coaches will develop. Our confidence will be real & not thumb-wrestling confidence.??

Napncrew gonna make these Gators "workahaulics". Now let us get to work on our thinking inside the ox = pump not dump.

Before defections, Mullen ranked 8th, 7th and 10th on rivals in his last three classes.

By your reckoning BN looks to have already failed by not getting guys in here who can recruit at OL and LB, two positions that have been seriously lacking in quality for several seasons now…..

It’s very disappointing considering how decent DL/DE recruitment seems to be going. Another area that needed a shot in the arm and got one. But one out of three won’t cut it….

DUH, Mullen had the great demoralizer...Grantham
Even if Mullen had Top 3 recruiting...he picked Franks over Trask and Emory Jones over AR15...That's right the great QB whisperer.
We were doomed under Cousin Eddie
Napier gives me...NOLA the Sunshine Pumper...Hope...Rank: Napier 21 Gundy 54 Kiffin 62

I think them being a big favorite is a bit premature. I think we might still land a borderline elite dline and same with receivers. Let's say stokes or brown is a stud and rashada is Felipe Franks. Or maybe we finally turn a corner in recruiting next cycle.
I don't think Cristobal is a very good coach . He gets compared to kirby but I don't think he's as good as kirby. Kirby will atleast always have one side of the ball locked down

I think we should absolutely be worried about about how good recruiting is going for them. I expected to see some improvement but didn't think they'd be able to do what they're doing. That being said I think it's a little early to assume we won't be able to hang in a few years.

Even if the UM coach sucks on game day, he's taking talent off the table from us. AND... we had a similar situation a couple of decades ago... Great recruiter, lousy coach ... the next coach did pretty well here.

It's still a long way to go until Dec 21st.

But BN has an uphill battle.

Traz, we got good DBs last cycle and look to be getting more with or without McClain. But there’s no denying the optics when it comes to “stars” and pulling someone with his rating adds talent, but also buzz and momentum to the brand.

The DL class isn’t necessarily going to be an all timer, but certainly seems a big improvement over what we’ve been bringing in the last few years.

I’d hate to not get Hamilton for the proximity issue. He’s rising fast. Don’t want to lose local kids like we almost lost AR. But it looks like we’re running behind bammer, meat chicken, sparty and toothless.

Yeah I meant Castell. I think we get him. FSU leads for Kirkland and likely for the reasons you mentioned. Thornton is probably the take here.

Whatever the solution is at TE, I’d like to know because BN runs two TE sets and where are the bodies?

And the only way this class gets close to where we all agree it needs to be is if there is a miraculous turnaround in the next weeks and months with OL and LB recruiting. God, what a mess. Let’s see what BN and company are made of when staring this sort of adversity in the face. I hate the idea of relying on someone else’s failure as opposed to exercising our own prowess but OL and LB recruitment and play at UF went off the rails under the last three regimes. But they did at clown world too so wtf??

Like you noted there are alternate targets that BN and the boys will have to up their game and get after for real to round this class out. I hope they can do it….

I miss the days when OL recruiting was fun and we pulled in studs. That was a long time ago . The OL recruiting needs to be a lot better. It is disappointing. It seems at most other positions we can consistently get lower-middle 4 star guys. If we could do that at OL also I would feel a lot better about the class.

We miss out on the 5 star guys because we are being all goody goody and following the rules while no one else is.

Wait I thought we offered more dough than Miami for that QB? Was that BS?

I see what you mean. Get serious about pulling not just one, but several guys ranked in the top ten to fifteen at their respective positions nationally, and do it yearly. And it stinks that Cristobal seems to be putting that standard in place faster than BN. Kirby has been and continues to be rolling in players like that. Our brand is so damaged we celebrate poaching a solitary player from those ranks here and there on the field.

McClain is ranked no. 1 CB on 247. Webb is no. 5 RB. Wilson III is no. 10 WR.

But only one top dude per position here and there. Meanwhile several of the DLs we are after who rank top twenty at their position are leaning … UGA. Ugh.

If we manage to get OT Tyrees Adams he would be our highest rated OL at 21. Commit Knijeah Harris is rated 23rd. After those two, the national rankings for those recruits we might get on the OL fall off a cliff.

And, as noted, there is no one, NO ONE, looking at us for LB. Bateman needs to be put out of our misery and soon.

Oh, and the top rated TE is of course going to UGA.

One possibility at LB is Kaveion Keys from Virginia. 6’2” 205. Ranked 19th at his position.

We’re after him along with the pedos, unc, and uva.

Seems to be the only prospect in the top 20 at his position that we have any sort of shot at. :(

LB recruiting is so bad our press is hyping the upcoming visits of Ernest Graham’s kid, Myles.

He’s good. He’s a major legacy. But he’s a 2024 recruit….
