This. So many analysts and media members out there with phrases like “if he can just develop his passing game” proves they only watch highlights or just have no idea what they’re watching. He already reads the field at a Trask level.
He completed 70% of his passes, taking what the defense gave him. He had a couple of bad throws and one dangerous decision. He also missed a couple of huge opportunities, but went for the sure completion. His arm, release and ability to throw on or off balance are all A+. His head game is solid and growing fast.

All the intangibles point to a solid UF win. Listening to UK media coverage on Gators Breakdown, although speaking positively, they are absolutely nervous and worried about this team. A week ago, not so much. But after the Utah game, many are saying holy shyt. Breaking down every aspect of this game points to what we all think should happen.

OL > UK
DL > UK
RBs> UK
WRs, slight edge UF as UK has all new starters
LB, DBs all more talent and playing time.

And most of all QB > than Levis. I don't care what anyone says, this guy hasn't proven shyt to be getting the pub he is getting. Richardson hands down more talented. Napier will have AR game planned and ready. He will stick with the script and as usual, use his ability when needed. UF will have to deal with a scrappy UK fight, but in the end UF will win, and a break here or there, it could get ugly. I will not predict a blowout, but it would not surprise me at all.

And most of all, the SWAMP should be as AMPED up as it was last Saturday night.

I like what I’ve seen so far. Great hands, gets open and finds space 15-20 yards downfield.
The other thing I noticed at the game and when rewatching, especially with him but also Henderson, they both took a couple of jarring shots immediately after catches and hung on to the ball.

I also think AR is going to be better, period. Not only did he get some great reps, his confidence level has to have soared after last week - he was reportedly very nervous going in. I expect Napier to open up the passing game a little more each week. If this guy becomes a great passer this UF team is going to win a lot of games.

He himself said post-game that he was very nervous and missed things and had to settle in.

In 2001 Rexy should've earned the third of the four Heismans that rightfully belong to us. In retrospect I doubt anyone disputes that, considering that the only reason he didn't get it was that they'd never given it to a sophomore.

This was actually from the year before, but I mean, come on. This guy was unbelievable.

If we had made it to the SEC Championship game in 2001, we would have won, and Rexy then would've won the Heisman even though he was a sophomore. If we had played Tennessee when we were supposed to play them instead of at the end of the season, we would have won the game and the SEC East. They had one or more key players who were injured on the scheduled date, but were back by the time of the postponed date. I forget who.

What I do remember is, that's why I've always hated Osama Bin Laden. That Navy SEAL who shot him in the face should be given lifetime season tickets at UF. That one was for us.

Both of the bolded are absolutely true.
Rexy deserved the Heisman and should have won it. Several things played into it as the group of voters were reluctant to vote for a sophomore AND there were two candidates from Miami's team (QB Ken Dorsey & OL Bryant McKinnie) that were pulling regional votes away from Rexy. It was still close...

As for the UT game, their #1 running back (Travis Stephens) was injured at the time when we were supposed to play them and then we had several players out later in the year. Phuck Osama! :banghead:
TN played LSU for the SEC championship, and lost, while we throttled LSU earlier in the year in game #5, smashed FSU at the end of the year, played TN close and then throttled Maryland. UF's only loss was to Auburn in game #6 before the later scheduled UT game. Phuck Osama! :banghead:

Ok no more talk about his head game.

That loss to Tennessee is still the worst loss I've ever experienced. We would have been playing for the natty. The guy on Tennessee who was injured in September, (but healthy when we played them in December) was DT John Henderson. He was a beast on their D. But more importantly, we had our healthy starting RB Earnest Graham in September until thug MF Dockett purposely wrenched his knee in the Noles game one week before the now December Tennessee game. Just writing all this still pisses me off to this day. I will never get over that loss. EVER.

Jordan Pouncey is a captain this week? From zero snaps on offense one week, to co-captain the next? :scratchhead:

Either Jordan made a contribution on special teams that I missed, or Mike and Maurkice are in town for the game this week. :lol2: I see that Coach likes to bring back former players and keep them in the fold, to make ambassadors and 'crooters out of them.

You forgot to add it ended up being Spurrier’s last game at The Swamp.

And yet, if Rex Grossman doesn't have the defense out partying and getting wasted all night before the game, you gotta wonder if they aren't so hungover they could actually get another stop or two to win that game. Just a flustercuck all the way around.
