Just as an example of how badly that "plank in your eye" verse has been bastardized and conveniently misconstrued, I once went on a double homicide investigation with a friend of mine who is a detective in Sacramento. We go to somebody's residence in a project apartment building looking for a suspect, and literally the only piece of furnishing or decor in the entire place is this poster:
