You'd expect championships next season with Hartman, Pratt, or Leary? Right.

I want Rashada playing as much as possible next season. Mertz is the perfect guy to sit the bench behind him. You guys are wringing your hands again over nonsense, Rashada is the future.

Championship? With our defense? Lol get real

If we start Rashada week 1, you won’t hear a complaint from me. I’d be shocked if Mertz doesn’t start first 4-6 games at a minimum

He might, but so what? Rashada may not be completely ready by Week 1. To me, it's one reason why UF isn't an attractive destination from some of those other QB's - they want to know they be starting all year. I think Napier wants to play Rashada and they know it.

It’s not ideal to start a freshman (especially 170 lb ones) year 1 especially in the SEC. In a perfect world we have a real 1 year stop gap QB and Rashada takes over year 2

With Mertz, I want Rashada out there Game 1. Nothing would be less exciting going into year 2 of Napier than starting a retread who wasn’t good at his first stop

We have people on staff whose entire employment is based on identifying targets in the portal . Seems like they are propping their feet up on their desk and then going to chilis on Archer for cocktails and chicken instead of doing their job . It’s shameful .

No question none of them are doing anything, very lazy group of people since day 1.

Quit embarrassing yourself. There are hundreds of great players still in the portal and even more are coming online as soon as their bowl games are over.

To be fair, Chili’s makes a mean Margarita and the Buffaloes strips are no slouch. Had it been Applebees I would be all for termination.

UGA, FSU and LSU have all picked up multiple players the past 10 days in the portal who will start for them next year while preparing for a bowl game. We've got Louisville's 3rd string DT and the Mertz while sitting at home.

We need major upgrades at QB, TE, OT, DT, LB and Safety. Florida's lack of action in the portal bothers me more then that shyt sandwich we were served the last few games of the season.

It feels like an Austin Powers movie:

"Dr. Evil? All of our rivals are using the portal to restock their rosters with transfers who will start for them next season. It seems they're of the opinion that rebuilding should happen now."

Yep, it may be exactly that way with Rashada. Also, if Lagway plays as we hope coming to UF sets it up well for him too after 2-3 years of JR. Hopefully we get Rashada here soon, EE, and I'm sure he knows he stands an extremely good shot to be the #1.

And yet we expect them to go elsewhere , right? Gotta look at it as another opportunity to stick together . Grammy and Billy Bob have a plan right ? And yet here we are getting our teeth kicked in as gator nation burns .

Everyone needs to accept the fact that winning next season isn't in Billys plan. Thats the only way to rationalize the lack of interest in portal players. He sees it as a 2 year roster flip and isn't going to change his plan just to win a few more games in year 2. He has to know the fans will hate him for it, but must be circling year 3 as the year we will be competitive. Thats the only conclusion I can come to. Not saying I'm down with it, but it just has to be his thought process. Otherwise hes toast.
