Nicely done. We all knew this was a contender on paper as the year materialized and can be a huge threat with the kind of pitching they got theses past 2 weeks. But getting to Omaha is what it is all about. Can't win it without getting there.
I thought there was going to be a negative “but” in there…

Sully needs to put Robertson back in center and move Langford back to left. Shecofer is not hitting and Langford is screwing up in center
I think these past 2 weeks should provide the answer. You are on it. And going to an even larger, unfamiliar ballpark, I would think he has to put Robertson back in CF. If the Iron Sheik (RIP) Offer is not going to reach base, might as well have Robertson not reach base while playing defense in CF and use the Iron Sheikoffer in RF late in games.

Stanford led Tex-A$$ 5-2 heading into the 9th and the Stanford pitchers walked 5 Tex-A$$ batters in the 9th to lose the game 7-5. I once read somewhere that walking guys in baseball seldomly ends well?

Isn't that what they said when we played Coastal Carolina in our first game in Omaha?
True. Ironically enough, Anthony Marks, the stud OF on that Coastal Carolina team is an assistant coach at GW. He’ll be a HC somewhere soon. Good person, and doesn’t lack for confidence.

**** the NCAA in the ass with a barbed wire dildo for forcing the institution that invented the original sports hydration beverage to use that horse piss otherwise known as Powerade.
Well GWG you have an entire week to confer with the NCAA and line up the game times for the Gators, their opponents and the pre and post game locker room meals and beverages.

After waiting in my seat for 3 hours for game to start, Worth It! Waldrep was a Gorilla on the bump. BT’s mitt was popping all damn night. He made so many Cocks look limp at the plate. I like how ball comes back from BT, Hurston is almost lifting his leg throwing it back in 1 motion. Just a fantastic rhythm and pace of game play.

If you told me Langford was going to be basically invisible at the plate, I’d have said we are done. Agreed that he needs to be in LF, he cannot figure out if he should go back or forward on a hit ball.

Man I love winning ! IMG_4414.jpeg

I’m guessing we play the early game Saturday. Just a hunch.

Bunt AND sacrifice fly to manufacture a run in ONE inning!
:shambles: :shambles:
So Sully and I were talking the other day and he mentioned how hurt he was by the abuse he takes on GCMB. In my effort to talk him off the ledge I offered that he shouldn’t care what a bunch of fans, albeit well intentioned ones, think. Tears were welling up in his eyes as he looked at me and said, “Dammit; I care!” I could tell he was on the verge of taking that step of no return when I shouted, “Don’t do it! Try some small ball; you know, a bunt or a Sac fly!” Suddenly, in what seemed like a Paul on the road to Damascus moment, he seemed to grab a hold of himself and said, “Why not? What could it hurt?” And with that he came back to me and we walked off together, hand in hand, to go and enjoy a couple of cold Zimas.

Today my friends , we witnessed that promise in action with great effect. Hopefully this means we can all lay off the guy a bit and not push him to that breaking point again. (Personally, I don’t think jumping off the dugout roof would have done much long term damage to the man, but it would definitely have been a bad look. )
