He isnt going anywhere. He has been courted many times and he shut all of it down real quick. He doesnt even use it to get himself raises.

I will say this, when we do play, I hope we are good enough to more or less go around and over Utah's defense. I hope it's not a brutal trench war with us going a few yards and a ton of unnecessary contact, if that makes any sense. First game of a very long season.

Utah is going to struggle running up the middle on our DT's and LB. Can they take advantage of our Edge/DEs, lack of depth there, and get to our star, CBs and safeties to force open field tackles. If Kuithe is out, we may be able to play heavier LB personnel with a bit less concern about the TE killing us and that could help ini run defense.

I think the key to us winning this game will be how our O-line plays. I expect our front 7 to be able to hold up better against Utah than we did last year. With 3 new starters on the O-line this is my biggest worry going into this game. I'm expecting a lower scoring game than last year.

There’s some sand bagging going on with Rising and Kuithe. If Odom can have his ACL ready there’s no reason to think Rising won’t. Kuithe has had more time. In any case the prep is the same.

You may end up being right, but it’s kinda silly on Whittingham’s part if you are. You’re a ranked team and defending conf champion, playing at home against a unranked team coming off a losing season and you feel like you have to play mind games to win? That tells me he knows his team really isn’t that good and they’d be at best a middle of the pack SEC team.

Either way, we’ll know in 11 days or so.
