BN sold UF on the idea that increased quantity of staffers and multiple coaches at multiple positions would translate to quality play on the field.

25 games in and none of what he promised to show us has materialized in any consistent fashion. NONE.

Lots of people doing lots of jobs, but it’s not amounting to anything because the coaching staff at the top of the pyramid just ain’t that good.

If he doesn’t get the axe he only survives if he looks in the mirror, accepts his mistakes and shortcomings so he dumps useless staff and coaches and gets an OC, a ST coach, better SC, and replaces whoever is just not coaching guys up at their positions.

Things need to get streamlined because it’s all just a disorganized mess on the field.

If he doesn’t have the character to reevaluate, self-reflect, and change what’s not working, he’s never going to have the character to win.

He needs to be asked point blank if he is willing to make staff alterations in terms of personnel and responsibilities. If he says no, it’s time to move on….
No sir, no asking about anything. 25 games in, we know what we know, it's time for him to go.

This is what having a cheap Administration gets you.
If you think $7 million a year and a $32 million buyout are cheap then I've got to get on your Christmas list. This is about incompetence at the AD level. Stricklin even bragged about only talking to Karl.

I'm an engineering manager but honestly I spend most of my time managing the workforce (recruiting,, development, etc.). And I can tell you, you don't ignore the red flags, at a minimum, you investigate. Karl's firing from Clemson should have been a red flag. And the offense that he ran at ULL should have confirmed that he's too conservative. Also, was anybody else beating down the doors for Karl?

Anxiously awaiting....

I want to say that maybe South Carolina or Tennessee looked into him previously and one maybe offered, but he turned them down. I may not have the right teams, but I do think someone before us did offer and he didn’t take. All I got to say is that team is very fortunate.

Wasn't the story/rumor in Nov. 2021 that LSU was seriously considering Napsack as well? Many of us saw the writing on the wall when it was divulged that Napsack was the only candidate Strick spoke with and visited. Definitely red flag

Twenty pages in just two days. That might be a record for chatter agreement. It even brought the Donk out for a sighting.

It would have happened today . Willy and Danny each got canned on a Sunday. Pretty sure the shark humper got the ax before the Mondee Scottie press conference
So what if I'm being delusional here, but Ron Zook didn't get canned till Monday following the loss to Miss State.

Before we fire Slingblade why don't we figure out who or what qualities the new guy we hire is going to have. That's not all that easy.

Because of some early success starting with Spurrier we've fallen into a template trap. Spurrier supposedly was lazy. He'd done well at Duke but, in spite of his favored son status many didn't expect much. Meyer came from success at a school just entering "big time" football. He was a hot commodity but not really proven. Billy D. was an unexpected find. In each case we found gold. So our genius Follie (sp on purpose) followed the template. He mined for gold and with the exception of Muschamp did so at less than big time schools.

Other schools have had their problems as well. Hell, Notre Dame hired a high school coach and other losers before the landed on someone decent. Alabama went through multiple failed hires before going for Saban. Tennessee was and maybe still is the poster child for futility. The jury is still out (we hope).

It gets worse in my opinion. Coaches who were successful in the past will not necessarily be successful in the future. The new breed will have to deal with portals, NILs and the resulting revolving door. A very smart football guy wondered if the new breed will have to deal with management of all that and the integration of very good but new players every year. Loyalty to a school is a thing of the past.

So a really really good AD is absolutely critical. We can't follow our old template. We probably can't follow any established template. A new template is necessary.

Or maybe the administration is happy to see the sleeping giant go back to sleep.
