LolSooooo, does that means we are not a potential destination for these fellows?

Would love to land the OT but he's probably looking for dough, not just a landing spot. NIL matters. Coaching acumen as well. Hope we end the portal season with a top prospect at DL LB CB/S, OT IOL WR. D'Antre would be big.One of the other boards I was reading, said that Bama is losing quite a few players in the portal. And really good players. Mainly because their NIL is not that strong and a lot of players were coming to play for Nick Saban even though they were making less money through NIL. Now that Saban is no longer there, a lot of these kids are heading out.
From one of our boosters. If this is the thinking, might as well pack it in and just reminisce about the good ole days. NIL will kill our program (if it hasn’t already). Can’t say I blame boosters for not shelling out millions for no return really
The NFL has no cap on how much money a player makes doing endorsements which is officially what NIL is. By saying it’s not pay for play the NCAA has made themselves powerless to put any kind of cap in place. At least, NFL has hard salary cap and NCAA needs to consider that, too....speechless

No, they decided to let all the Hofstras of the world beyotch about cream cheese on bagels and bake sales so a welfare kid could go to the AA game. That is exactly the issue. The NCAA had decades to get ahead of this issue, and they decided to put their heads in the sand.

Impossible, was told that the good players just go for money and thats why our crootin sucks. One of the other boards I was reading, said that Bama is losing quite a few players in the portal. They’ve got to impose some transfer limits via rules and/or contracts. Fans are going to start saying “Screw it.”Look at the specifics of this situation. Alabama has been as constant as any program in history, had a legendary coach and were a few plays/yards away from playing in the national title game. Then, after a peaceful retirement, he’s replaced by a wildly successful head P5 coach who actually did just reach the title game this year. And yet in the span of one week, between NIL and the portal, they have been pillaged to the point of having a roster that may end up looking like a gazelle carcass after the hyenas are finished. I always said this would happen at some point. The fact that it’s the current Alabama program and situation is terrifying. Can you imagine what our 2002 or even 2015 teams would’ve looked like had these pieces been in place then?

Good luck convincing the Supreme Court, the 9-0 Supreme Court. They’ve got to impose some transfer limits via rules and/or contracts. Fans are going to start saying “Screw it.”
Someone figure out how much, and then Gator Nation should immediately crowd source that amount. We could have 1 Million raised in about two weeks. Just tell us how much big Boy. Seriously. I am not kidding. What are we waiting for?If you're going to grossly overspend - this is the guy to do it with!

9-0 on restraining income as anti-trust, but do you think restricting transfers would be disallowed as well? Would such a structure require a collective bargaining agreement with a players’ union?Good luck convincing the Supreme Court, the 9-0 Supreme Court.
