The best PF we will have is Keith Stone. 6-8 233 and can shoot. Needed the redshirt year to grow into his body and could be our best player next season. He will start imo.

I am quite optimistic about Stone too. I think he is relatively skilled, but the other guys we know can be on the court and UF not implode. Until you know a player can play in a college game there is some doubt.

So I would rather have Murphy. I know he can play at this level.

As far as filling out the roster, I would like Gak first given my very limited information. I might take a transfer graduate transfer second, but I am not sure I think either Barry or Pryor is a slam dunk. I guess at least Pryor has had a season of superior outside shooting at the college level. As far as the young Greek Freak, I wonder if he wants to be a 3 and how well that would work on this level.

If you look at his highlight tape, he definitely looks closer to 215

UF listed Stone at 6'8" and 233 lbs. Historically UF has listed players about their height IN SHOES rounded to the nearest whole integer. So Stone likely came to UF between 6' 6.75" and 6'.7.25" in height and right around 230 lbs plus or minus a few pounds day to day.

Agreed - you never really know how tall these guys are. Stone is listed at 6'7" on Rivals, ESPN and 247, but that was from HS - he could have grown an inch since then, I guess. :dunno:

https://basketballrecruiting.n.rivals.com/news/predicting-where-2016-s-uncommitted-stars-will-land

Mentioned in only one of those and they are predicting him to St John's. It is crazy to see Miss St with that class. Next year's class has to be top 15-20 or White will need to be escorted out of here. The hire barely made a ripple in the BBall universe. As of right now, it is a ho hum hire. I hope he kicks ass in recruiting.

This is the number 1 player that I want. Please White, pull off a miracle.

Also- even if the class isn't top 20, we can fill needs with grad transfers (good ones hopefully lol)

Did you notice that article says that Alpha Diallo a 6'5" wing will visit UF?

I also thought White was a ho hum hire, but when I listen to the guys talk during the games they seem to think it was a great hire. Maybe they are just saying that to be nice... I don't know, but I hope we see some of this greatness with pulling in some good kids. There is a kid from Delray on that list who isn't even looking at us, but is looking at Baylor! We should be in consideration for any kid in state unless the kid is really looking to get out of state.

Says in the article about Jolly that he's from Oklahoma, so don't know how long he's been at Delray Beach. Big12 would make sense if he's from that area. No offer from us, according to Rivals, and he's going to visit OKSt and the Zags later this week. 247 has him as 60% to Baylor, 20% to OKSt and 20% to TX.

The skinny: A four-star shooting guard from Oklahoma, Jolly was actually a Rivals150 member in 2015 and is finishing a year of prep school. He recently de-committed from California and is fresh off of a visit to Baylor. New Oklahoma State coach Brad Underwood is working furiously to get involved and Jolly will visit OSU this weekend.
