I see positive thinking (hoping) fans. They seem mostly to admit that we need to recruit better across
the board ... but "pumpers" don't stomp their feet screaming "Mac should be out-recruiting Saban, Urban,
Miles, all others" or else he must be condemned right now!

.

How about Smart or Richt? Because he's losing to those coaching legends in recruiting. Not Saban or Meyer,

Excuse time!

Low validity point in that neither Smart nor Richt took over a program 4 years mutilated by Muschamp.
Smart and Richt have garnered plenty of SEC credibility and worthy fame. Mac came from faraway and
un-admired CSU and that disrespected conference.

At the very least, ours is a wait to see situation. IMO this season will do a lot to boost Mac's recruiting
attraction.

As I read through this thread something that hasn't been discussed came to mind that may bear discussion. We've all talked about 5 star versus 3 star and trying to find the gem in the rough so to speak. It's my opinion that this has and will be tougher and tougher to rely on with regards to in state recruits. Here's why. Up until 10 years or so back these 3 stars would often end up going out of state or play at smaller schools. Nowadays they have schools like USF, UCF, FIU, FAU and even Miami.....yes Miami has also become home of the 3 star at least until kids see how Richt does there. So in theory the 3 star pool has become more competitive and tougher for UF, with higher academic standards and a tougher depth chart to crack, than some of the lessor schools....We're in a tough spot and MUST start to grab a higher percentage of in state elite talent.....

Maybe Mac can recruit. Maybe not. What is indisputable is that try with all your might, as a naysayer you still can't hold Law's jock . At least you have something to work towards....

We can go the Baylor route, return to murder to nfl ratios under Meyer, or go the Ole Piss path.

Well...well...well...I hope the pumpers will finally see that it is a major problem going forward.
Deep down, everyone here agrees with you. However, you are like a broken record, saying the exact same thing in every thread with every post. It seems like every topic lately turns into pumper vs dumper thread because of your schit attitude. There's nothing worse than going through a tough time. That's when friends and family pick each other up. On the other hand, there's alway one asswhipe who has to cry their way through it, which changes nothing.

You must be a hoot at parties.

My personal life has zero to do with the crap job Mac and his staff are doing in recruiting. Sorry but no dice pal. For all the claims about being pumpers and positive a lot of you are real azzholes. And it's been the MO of the pumpers since the beginning of time. Mac is the head coach. He's open to criticism. It's part of the job. Personally insulting me? What's that have to do recruiting? You don't like hearing the truth so you insult me? How does that change anything? You attack me personally because you have zero comeback for Mac's inefficiencies on the recruiting trail. So, call me names. Makes a ton of sense.

Main problem with this lack of Mac's recruiting prowess topic seems that most the negative GC-reporters
are the most knowledgeable CFB analysts ... or should I say analists ? :stirpot:

Seems to me, these things are the root of these guys' non-rooting for Mac problem :

1) Mac left Alabama and Bama continued right on as the #1 team; thus Mac lost all credit for being
a main mover in Bama's success... making Mac a nil-draw to national elite recruits.

2) At "no-news CSU", Mac's teams were just so-so. So Mac was never "spotlighted" as a top-totem HC.
That's the same as being notable as an inadequate HC = bad publicity.

3) No Mac-coached CSU players got praise from CFB publicity pundits ... or from any NFL draft.

4) All the above plus UF having for 4 years the most unreliable head-coaching in CFB= UF cannot be
considered an elite program by elite recruits. Fall-short (failure).

Sure, the above can be used by naysayers to declare that Foley should never have hired coach McElwain -
thereby saying so-long to UF winning the SEC East. Thus, so-long to our first improving rebuild-step
in recruiting magnetism. (We' will show a reasonable leap in recruit attraction after this season, still only
Mac's 2nd season as UF's HC !)

Once the years of winning 10 games per season occur, elite recruits will come to UF. Homegrown boys
will see the revived UF Program as a leading choice. And recruiting stars will sky. IMHO.

I have no problem with your message, just overly annoyed with your unending repetitive delivery. Diversity is lacking. If people are insulting you, maybe you should take heed.

Crap job recruiting? Please explain...

I'm pretty sure he had a nice haul on the offensive side of the ball. If I can recollect correctly that is where we have struggled. You are reaching my friend.

I agree with the basis of the article, but weren't Clayton and CeCe 5 stars?

He's taken more three stars than any other head coach since the recruiting services started. He has two of the three worst ranked classes as well. If that's not crap then maybe you need some context. Either I need to lower my bar or you need to raise yours.

Again, you bash our coaches, our players, our facilities, our AD and most anyone who wont join your miserable life. If there are alot of people saying the same thing, it might be a sign. To use your words...just sayin....

Insulting each other is not a sport. If it were, then this message board would be home to a motherlode of 5-stars. I think I'll go chew on Mom's new sandals.

Here is a serious question. In what way or ways does Rex differ from a troll? Just askin'.
He's way worse, because he actually wants the Gators to win. So we accept him and allow him cry all day every day. Personally, I'm tired of every thread turning into the same conversation because of him, and I visit this site less everyday. I'm positive that others are feeling the same way. I understand the "powers that be at GC" want banter, but it comes with a sacrifice.
