On to the finals....LET'S GO WARRIORS! Lol

But seriously, pretty pathetic that a team full of that much talent can't get a ring. The attitudes separate the really good from the great.

I feel bad for Billy. Major major choke job by OKC. Pretty freaking awful.

I understand what you're saying but how do you adapt to moving screens? I don't mind seeing the Warriors advance and will be rooting like crazy for them vs the Cavs, but of a team gets away with blatant moving screens it's not right.

I agree with you. It is the special treatment by refs that caused me to stop watching the NBA. OKC did the best they could. I felt like they got away from what they do best. Why? I don't know. NBA refing is a different animal from other sports. You either accept it or don't watch. I just enjoy the shooting. GSW has made shooting cool again.

Epic choke job... And yea, anyone that thinks GS doesn't grab and move on basically every high screen gets his replay commentary from Stevie wonder.
I've never seen anything like it. How does that never get called

Agreed. NBA can be VERY tough to watch, but these past couple series are almost must watch haha.

That's what won them the series.

In the last 3 Warriors' wins, the Thunder basically outplayed the Warriors in nearly every facet of the game. Rebounds, points in the paint, second chance points.

But, my god, you literally can't stop the Warriors when they are shooting threes that well. So many of the shots Klay and Steph make are so incredibly well defended. There's literally nothing you can other than hope they don't go in.

The Thunder made some crucial mistakes down the stretch in each of the last two games, but I think it's really hard to say it was a huge choke job. What are you supposed to do when Klay and Steph are making 27 footers while being defended by the longest, most athletic team in the NBA?

Instead of referring to this as a choke job by OKC, it was really the remarkable 3 game shooting stretch by the Warriors that should be talked about.

Before tonight teams down 3-1 in the NBA were 9 for 232 or 3.8%

Call it whatever you want.

Blah blah blah blah. Why are you such a glass half empty guy ALWAYS? How many times were those 232 teams that were down 3-1 the best team in the league? How many of those teams that were down 3-1 won 73 games in the regular season? How many of those teams had a guy make 11 3s in a single game?

What happened was simply this...in games 3 and 4, the thunder built a nice lead and when GSW started pressing and chucking up threes they didn't fall, which turned the games into runaways. In games 6 and 7 the thunder built up nice leads and when GSW started pressing and chucking up threes they started dropping like never before and they came from behind to win. It was crazy but not a choke job. Only an asshat watches that performance and thinks the story of the game was a choke rather than an incredible shooting display by the best team in the league.

This is why I hate the nba. GS isn't even close to the best team in the league. They don't defend, don't rebound, struggle to score from inside and usually don't even try. They do one thing good, that's it, just one thing. And only two of the players do it, shoot 3s. That's it, nothing else.

And that's why I hate the nba, bc the refs and the freaking pansy rules nowadays have gone so far that a team that can only do one thing can easily dispense of solid, complete teams if they simply do their one thing.

GS would have been murdered in the 90s when defense mattered bc you were allowed to actually play it. Coincidentally, that's about the last period that the nba was truly a great league.

Officiating has definitely killed the nba. If you close out on a shooter properly they flop and fall down then get the call every time. They call little hand check fouls but they let golden state throw more picks than driskel. That's why I prefer to watch college.

They have talent but it's overrated. The advantages OKC had over GS were nulified the last 3 games because the Warrior's shooting especially from 3 is just better than the Thunders.

I am gutted for Billy Donovan. He's been my favorite coach in sports for many years and he's a great man so to see his team lose this series after being up 3-1 is terrible. Worse than when Seattle lost the Super Bowl to the Pats and even worse than the feeling I got when the Noles won that NC over Auburn a couple years ago. But Billy can bounce back. The reality is 3 point shooting is too important. I hate that the Warriors may be starting a dynasty because of the 3. I can't root for them. Green is a punk. Oddly enough Billy needs a Steve Kerr kind of 3 point shooter next year. Even though Durant and Westbrook gagged this series away Klay Thompson did make 11 threes in game 6 and that turned the series. OKC up 6 at the half last night felt like a tied game to me. Just like thr 8 point leads they had to start the 4th quarter in game 6 felt like a 2 point lead to me.

If Durant comes back fine. Surround him with better shooters. Trade for Beal. Bring Noah in to tutor Adams and Kanter who are so young only 22. Really the team should be built around them. if KD leaves that's what you do. KD got a 300m deal with Nike. Congrats i guess. But it put too much pressure on him. If Durant melted and shot terribly against the Warriors forwards what would he have done against King James in the final? It would not have been pretty. I still can't believe OKC won game 1 when KD and Russ shot 30% and 33% disrespectively. I think that made them think they could shoot badly and still win the series. Wrong.

Sorry. You can go up 3-1 on MJ's Bulls and you better close out the series. Are you just trying to spare Billy the label of a choker? It's more on KD and Westbrook than Billy. All told though...they are all chokers.

You couldn't be more wrong. Don't defend? 4th in the league in points against (per 100 possessions). 8th in steals. 2nd in blocks. Thompson Iguadala Bogut Green are all elite defenders - other guys are excellent as well.

Rebounds? 4th in the league in rpg (1 in defensive rebounds).

Points in the paint? 9th in the league.

This is an historically great team talented in every facet of the game. The level of difficulty on Curry and Thompson shots is off the charts and they hit at a nearly 50% clip! No defense can stop that in any era and it makes it nearly impossible to guard the entire team because your defense is stretched out way beyond the 3 point line (hence their success scoring in the paint).

The league is better than its ever been in my opinion. Fast paced, ball-movement oriented offense is so much better to watch than the ISO ball of Jordan's era.

Can't wait for the finals where Cleveland will be a very tough out.

Is it hard to type with GS's jock in your hands?

People like you constantly quote stats, although stats don't mean a whole lot. Did you actually watch the games? Golden State got beat by OKC in nearly every facet of the game, they just chucked desperation threes from near half court when nothing else worked and they kept going in.

No one saying they can't shoot, or aren't the best two shooters in the league princess. What we are saying is that's all they do. And the rules and officiating are engineered to make it so that that's all they need to do. If you're arguing against those statements you're retarded.
