What amazes me is that the coach won't pull a struggling QB, Treon last year or LDR this year, but he's quick as a rabbit to run off a potential All Star, Grier, for a slight misunderstanding....

Most understand that LDR, like all competitive players, don't want to resign to the bench unless on a gurney. Being a QB that will trigger all plays is a different animal. I could see him starting himself with good intentions and Gator pride. I certainly don't go down the road of slandering him and soiling his character as a person/athlete. However, it's item #205 now on Coach Mac and this 'over their heads' staff and some irresponsibility on Luke. In this game, he was missing wide opens "badly", throwing into the dirt "badly", floating helium balloons or deep sliders. I mean worse than ever before. Luke, that's the time when you know it's time to say Coach, my fast ball is gone, I'm hurt, for the team, spell me right now. The bigger issue is Coach Mac and this amateurism hour staff. They know he is missing passes "that badly" because something is wrong and they have all watched enough football to pull a guy (for a series or two at least to check him out mentally if not physically) while the #2 takes over until further notice. Yet, they made a decision to lose the game in actuality... Gators, hmm maybe their not, we are, but listening to him talk to us like we are sitting in HS bleachers pisses me off. Just saying, IMO.

I normally try to avoid bagging on a single player. I am sure LDR knows this is probably his only year to start. Two frosh behind him and another on the way. He lacks SEC skills. I'm sure he knew this was one of his last starts as a college QB. You don't think he wants to stay out there as long as possible. He may never see the field on a gameday again. Am I giving Mac too much of a pass? Is he that stupid and clueless?

I don't want to bash a player, but I do think part of this is on LDR. I get that he wants to stay in and help the team, but as the leader of the team it is also important to tell coaches when you are not able to do your job because of an injury. Shoot maybe they could have given him a shot a halftime to get him through the game...

How does he know how the training staff can or can't help if he doesn't tell them? I get being tough, but sometimes being touch is being honest with yourself on what you are capable of given an injury.

FYI... I also think this is on Mac for not seeing this. The way LDR was throwing the ball, etc... he should have pulled him injury or not due to bad play.

Basically he lied to our coaches. He knew he was hurt and hurt enough that he could not give 100%. He's taught to do that? BS. He's a piece of garbage for not letting the next guy try and win the game for his TEAM. It's a team game not an LDR game. LDR is a sack of **** right now. There's a reason he's on his third team. I hope he ends up on his fourth.

2 small points.

First, Tebow concealed how he was still concussed when playing on the road against LSU. He admitted that he was seeing double and at times had black spots during that game but didn't say a word and kept going back in. And when asked, he told everyone he was fine. Is Tim a sack of s***t as well? And don't respond with the fact that we won the game. He didn't know the outcome when he hid the concussion symptoms. Mac also said in todays presser that they knew rio was hurt at halftime but made the decision to stick with him. Don't act like he tricked the coaches, they knew he was hurting.

Second, your sick bro; you need help. I've given you the benefit of the doubt where other people have trashed you but not on this. Your comments are disgusting and indefensible.

A concussion? Tim probably didn't know. LDR knew his noodle was broke and didn't tell anyone. Trash me bro. No one cares.

I don't blame LDR for this. Good shoulder or bad shoulder, he was playing poorly enough to get benched multiple times. Mac should have pulled him out and didn't. It's on him.

Qb is quite a bit different than LB. I'll ask you again...do you think it's ok to conceal an injury to yourself, as a QB, which is causing you be at way less than 100%? In fact, it is causing your team to lose. You think that is acceptable behavior?
You always phrase these questions this way... So I have two questions for you and be honest...

(1) Are you the captain of your high school debate team?

(2) Are you allowed to use the internet during school hours or are you in recess?

The only one getting trashed in this thread is rio, and the only one doing it is you.

Who cares? Yeah, I think LDR mislead the staff. As many have pointed out, the staff should've have seen the terrible throws and made the decision based on the results, not the determining factor(either injury or flat out sucking).

Again, I don't normally bash any of the kids. I usually go after the staff. It seems Mac went out of his way to mention TWICE that they were unaware of the severity of the injury. Which tells me that he's saying LDR wasn't exactly truthful with him. IMHO.

And T-rex, Before you think I'm picking on you again and I'm not.... It's these kind of posts that put people off and make you appear very, very childish.

The irony here is "IF" LDR HAD taken himself out of the game you would have said the same thing about him:
It's a team game not an LDR game. LDR is a sack of **** right now. There's a reason he's on his third team. I hope he ends up on his fourth.

Every time I think you've turned a corner and I can find some common ground with you, you just go off the rails with such extreme animosity. Tone it down a bit Hoss and you wouldn't be leading the board in "dislikes". That's Law's rightful place and by God, he wants his throne back! And we'd like to oblige him....

You should just admit that you were gone from this place as long as things were going good. Once things turned, you came back to plaster the forum with your hate and negativity. Classic rex. The gator program hater and forum troll.

This is what makes me think you are either (a) a troll and don't know much about Gator football, or (b) a child who is too young to remember the actual events surrounding this. Literally EVERY SINGLE POSTER here knows that Tim got knocked the phuch out in the Kentucky game, prior to the LSU game in question in which he played will covering remaining concussion symptoms...

Edit: If you are (b) a child, then I apologize for cursing in your presence... or at least apologize to your mom and dad on my behalf. Ok. Thanks.

And I have read in more than one place that Trask is 4TH string. Sorry fellas

It can be looked at two ways. Grier was clearly better than Treon yet Grier was redshirted. They always planned to redshirt him. The guy that is third string may not be the future because they are saving him. However, the guy who plays may be the future like Eason in Jawja. We have no way of knowing unless Trask or Franks plays well.

Since Tebow is a bad example, what about Kerwin Bell, Bell limped on the field against Auburn. Everyone staff, fans, etc.. knew he wasn't 100%, probably not 50%. But he went out and gave it his all for the Gators. Watch that game sometime, and against a really good Auburn defense that year. Bell had one wheel, but at the end of the day ran in the game winning score.

A slight misunderstanding is walking off with a bag of chips when you thought the cashier rang you up for a combo. Not when you knowingly dodge the paid, professional training staff at your disposal to determine whether or not a substance is on the banned list. Grier's selfish act is a big part of why we are currently in this predicament at QB.

I was at that game and it was AWSOME!!! One of the best games I ever attended!
