Who is Nuss blaming here?

Redshirt freshman Feleipe Franks finished 10-of-16 passing for 108 yards overall, the fewest passing yards in a game by Florida since Treon Harris topped out at 60 in 2014 against South Carolina.

There is a vocal segment of the fan base ready to excuse Franks from any culpability in those numbers and put it all on offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier.

Then there are the other comments. Nussmeier reportedly told CBS analyst Gary Danielson, which he relayed during the broadcast, that Franks continues to struggle with “procedural communication.” Perine candidly commented after the game, “We couldn’t get the plays in, so once we got the play in we had to hurry up and rush because the clock was going down.” And as to the Gators’ final series, coach Jim McElwain noted, “A sense of urgency, it’s pretty obvious that we didn’t have it there.”

He's blaming the fans, that are demanding an offense that functions. Most of you guys reading this are part of that blame.

Damn sure ain't the coaches, procedural problems originate on message boards.

I'm not sure that claiming Franks struggles with something is actually the blame game. Nuss sucks and so does Mac but the above quote is hardly blame. Is there a direct quote?

If the problem is communication, why does Franks have the armband? Or reduce the play book for plays that Franks is comfortable with? Hell LSU game in with the high school offense and won, and Auburn has doing it all season.

Is Perine saying the play is coming in late from the coaches or franks is slow to comprehend the play then communicate it in the huddle?

Either way, unacceptable. I'm so frustrated right now.

Actually auburn has been doing it for about a half dozen seasons.

If he wants to have a dual threat QB in the game, why put a WR to run the wildcat? Why not put Zaire in there and run the offense like it was 2007?

That's what happens when you start losing...people start to point the finger at everyone else. It's just a matter of time before Nuss is gone.

I'm not sure how much more the playbook can be reduced at this point. If Franks is that far behind after two years then Franks is not the issue, there is no reason for him to be that far behind.

The most Nuss has lasted at any program is 3 years and typically by then it is not a mutual thing. Ask Ala and Mich. This is standard operating loser procedure. You stay somewhere until you run out of excuses and blame.

Does it matter if there is a problem with Franks? He's pretty much all there is unless you put in Zaire. (Now that I think about it, with the exception of greir, all Macs QB's are the same) So it's Nuss and Mac job to address that problem that he perceives. So unless Nuss has a solution, this is just a deflecting excuse and yes, blame.

The wheels are falling off due to the Peter Principle. Both Mac and Nuss are in over their head, which always ends the same way. Always. Blame everyone except yourself, which breeds resentment, which breeds contention, which breeds isolation and division, which breeds factions, which breeds blame. The cycle continues unless a leader steps in.

It's the Coaches ATX, but the problem is early in the season we ran an LDR offense with Franks. Now instead of just focusing on plays that fit Franks skills, we continue to try to get cute, sub Toney in a qb at odd times, the offense isn't getting any kind of rhythm. It's on the Staff. We joke about Nuss running about 8 plays, LSU beat us probably only run 4 in different formations.

It is Nuss's job to get the play in on time, period. He should be planning the next play or plays while the team is running the current one. Have three options ready to go depending on what happens.

Maybe Nuss needs to replace the batteries in his "Ask the Magic 8 ball" play calling device.
