Have you ever considered the idea that fan message boards are not for you?

I don’t want you to leave, it’s a fair question. Some people are too serious to be able to handle them. BruceWayne was a recent example.

If you've seen any of the recent batman movies then it shouldn't have come as a shock that he was too serious. Why so serious?

Jeebus. If you really have this much disdain for the fan base, why not choose another team with a civilized fan base more to your liking?
Perhaps Yale might be a better fit. Boola-boola!

Every Bama fan I meet I ask them if they want to take Mac after Saban retires and not one single Bammer fan wants him. Not a one. Nada. Zero. Zilch. Dude is a dud.

Yeah, you know if you got a good coach or not by the way you rival’s fan base feels about him. In our case all our rival’s are hoping we keep Mac for 20 years. Lol

I support the University, not the fan base. Would it kill us to be a little more self aware? I see posters in the chat box talking about our unrealistic expectations frequently. I believe they have occasionally used the word"spoiled". Why is the idea anathema here?
AR takes pride in losing and terrible coaches. Makes him equal with his Cowbell and Rebelbear brothers.

As I've been saying all along, Mac will not survive this season. Economics were never going to be the driving force behind any decision.

Not many coaches can have the players we’ve had the last three years and the offense be rated over 100th all three years.
It’s hard to coach players down that much.
I would like to know the real reason WG
left. Getting rid of him helped keep the offense over 100. If he had stayed there is no way we would be over 100.

Ox, you asked me that once before. I concluded that you were correct. I was taking it too seriously. I said so on this board. "Ox was correct." I stayed away for a long time until I was sure my attitude had improved. When I was sure it had, I came back on. I have been enjoying posting on your board. I enjoy the back and forth. Being in the minority doesn't bother me. If you feel that I am upsetting your other posters, then tell me plainly and I won't post. Otherwise I will keep enjoying being a UF supporter and sometimes the devil's advocate

So the university is more important than the fanbase, the majority of the fanbase are students/alumni of the university. So the very life blood of the university... so what you are really saying is you prefer the Coach to the University... because the fanbase is made up of what makes the university the university.
No,no. McIlwain does not fit UF. We need another coach. I simply think that he isn't the devil the board sometimes makes him out to be. Also, I think a person or organization accomplishes more when they realistically assess their strengths and weaknesses. Hence, I twit the posters about lack of realism. We will accomplish more and hire a better coach with a cold eyed assessment of our needs and the possibilities.

I hate the "spoiled" and "unrealistic" schtick. Wanting a top-50 offense is not spoiled, but defending a sub-100 offense is stupid. Just my opinion...

Law, I include you among those who are self aware. However, I do not include you amongst those who consistently exhibit their self awareness in their posts.
You know, it used to be hard to get AR to fire back.

Proud of his progress.

Good thing I only give a damn about what I think. Some people wear capitulation like a badge of honor.

Uhhhh.... wait til three years from now when he gets HIS.... well I mean HIS NEXT QB.

You know, things were really humming with Grier and LDR, you know when the O dipped into the 80s and 90s.

Two SEC East titles = smoke and mirrors.

Think Muschdump and 11-2.

Butters brought this onto himself. Sticking with Nuss. Now this lying. Suspensions I lay about 20% of the blame on him. Injuries happen everywhere. The guy makes $4.5M/year and in year 3 puts out the same crappy offensive product.

Give me Frost!

Just have one problem with your post, on this site the preferred term is "smoking mirrors".
