Which outcome will result in more pages of postings for this thread: Florida hires Kelly or Florida hires someone else?

? It’s the other way around isn’t it?

I'm pretty sure Bill Sikes(sp) said last night that it was Dunn that worked for Trace, however that link provided above shows Dunn is the CEO and Trace is the VP among a few other designations. Looks like @realbsikes was wrong.

Agree. He lives in California. If it's not an official visit he has to pay his way. Fly from California to Jax or Orlando (unless he somehow found a direct flight into Gainesville)....then get a rental car and drive to Gainesville for the game....to not meet the new coach? That's a brutal travel schedule for a 2 day visit. No thanks.

I think he sticks in the class if we announce a coach in the next week or so. I have no problem w/ him taking visits, I think we'd all do the same if we didn't know who our coach was going to be or what type of offense it would be, etc.
Right. We could hire a coach with an offense much worse than Mac's.

Pat Forde is suggesting it's not such a done deal:

Kelly is the school’s top candidate for the job, and the coach has taken his time to engage in a deliberate evaluation of Florida. But with other potential candidates becoming available for discussion this weekend, Florida officials appear to be ready to move on shortly after Thanksgiving if a deal has not been struck with Kelly.

yeah my bad.

that being said if you're an agent you can't get the reputation of steering your clients only to your alma mater whether Florida or UCLA. don't read too much into this. The guys are going to try to get the most money they can for their client at the school that best works for their client.

It was reported somewhere that the contract was still missing one signature from someone at UF.
Maybe that is the case and that's why, the contract can't be official till all the signatures are on it.
Just what I was thinking. Bet that other signature appears a little after 3:30 Saturday afternoon.
