Matt Coral can do it all. He has a quick release...although a little quirky,he is accurate ,he is intelligent and he can run...look at his highlights or watch some of his games.

And most importantly he is a leader. He has held the recruiting class for as long as he could plus he has been one of our best recruiters.

Dont Gator fans value loyalty ? I do . He gets dibs as far as an opportunity to be a starter on this team.I am positive he will be an all american and champion soon enough.

If he decides to go elsewhere then I wish him the best and would hope we would land Justin Fields.

Is it possible that Mullen steps back to more of a CEO role and hands his little play sheet to someone else? Has he always acted as his own OC at MSU?

I guess we are going to strike out on some of our top OL targets

If true this is quite a gamble and in my opinion a big mistake. You've already got a stud like Carroll who's been a loyal and outspoken commit through all the craptastick mess that has been Florida football and now you slap him in the face by flirting with a kid who will most likely stick with the Dogs. We can't afford to be cute at this point.

Go big or go home.

I hope DM has already had a long conversation with Corral to get everyone on the same page. I seem to recall Corral and Fields had previously made comments during the summer football camps that they wouldn’t mind signing with the same team, so maybe it’s not a big deal(?).
I'm convinced that if we sign three freshmen QBs this year, all will probably play.

Well, if we can hang onto the two we have and get the two from Apopka that's a nice class. If we can add one more, it'll be very good. Anyone got info on this kid (in the link)?

That's what I'm worried about, is Barnes going to end up elsewhere?

It seems Corral is the type of young man that you should build your offense around. Mullen's got Toney to be his elusive Percy Harvin-like & should get that Juco Malik Heath with the 4.24 speed. Surely in practices, the magnetism of Corral's passing accuracy draws Mullen toward a throwing not running QB.

Mullen & crew can pull in the right recruits - like a bruiser-blocking FB who can actuallythe run the ball well. It's possible that the Mullen recruiting pitch repeats repeats his NC seasons at UF. My mind's eye can still visualize those OSU stand-fans shaking their heads marvelling at the surgical precision of our passig attack QB, Leak. OSU folk had tearful frustration welling up as Mullen's gators picked up 1st downs on 3rd & long repeatedly.

Then Mullen followed by properly using Tim Tebow to cram losses down opponents' throats. Now those 2 QBs were as different as could be and Mullen used them correctly. Lord, remember how we negatively laughed at Chris' innate aversion to getting hit at all. As GatorNation excitedly loved seeing that, so too will top recruits be drawn to that UF style... and that includes their seeking the joyful swagger with tickled humility. Play those highlights for each O-recruit. This is University of Florida football kids.

Well shoot, why shouldn't us fans 'love the one we're with? and 'til shown that doubtful dumbness that Mullen cannot remember the workings of his 2 natty teams, we could, with piledriving-faith, remember Mullen's NC offenses as returning to the Swamp real soon. UF can sign those natty-type athletes again, so CFB needs to tremble some. Go Gators, recruit like winners & champions. Let's create a winful buzz aroud this program starting now.

This is my hope, but I don’t believe it to be true. My hope is that Mullen ran the QB power stuff so frequently because he could more easily recruit big QBs that could run and decently throw. My hope is that he has seen the multiple versions of the spread (I.e Alex Smith, Chris Leak) that he truly can adapt to the best available player.

Of course these are only hopes. I don’t believe it to be true

My hope as well. I’m hanging my hat on the adjustments they made with Billy Lasko and Leak and hopefully that means they will adjust.

Well the big adjustment happened a year later in the championship game. I was hoping Meyer would use that gameplan for Brantley but never happened. We’d need that for Corral, but realistically don’t see it happening
