I blame PTSD from Foley's shyt hires. Anyone who cant see this kid is ten times better than Franks is silly. and it sure as hell isn't going to affect the decisions of future quarterbacks.
Ten times better than awful isn't necessarily all that good, but I get your point.

So far has Burrow even set up a visit to UF yet? I heard Cinn and LSU this weekend but nothing about UF unless I missed it..

I don't think Burrows is coming here based simply on my experience that over the last 10 years or so good things don't happen to UF football. Sadly, this line of thinking hasn't let me down yet.

If we truly do have no interest in him, it is probably based on whatever Urban has said to Mullinz.

Also, I doubt he would visit UC without some knowledge that that OSU would release him.

He announced....yesterday....that he's visiting those two schools. He announced the day before he's transferring. No, you didn't miss anything.

My hypothetical: all articles connecting Burrow and UF are BS click bait designed to captivate, manipulate, and humiliate Gator fans who are currently suffering thru a decade of pure crap and lagging facilities that have made our brand absolutely toxic. That kid is going to Nebraska or Texas. Mullen just needs to get back to work rebuilding this thing from the deep hole that azzbag Foley threw it into.

This hypothesis like all others could be completely off but we're not in a good place where we can count on even small breaks. Yet.

The road back from Totally ****ed City is a long and arduous trek. Foley's departure was the first "break" we so desperately needed. Hopefully DM's arrival is the second. Not drowning in stupid again would be number three.

I just looked at every play Joe Burrow has been in in college and his senior highlights. Here are my impressions:

1. He's very accurate
2. He really sees the field
3. He throws a very catchable deep ball although he does not have a stronger arm than either Franks or Trask
4. He is not afraid to throw over the middle, slants/crossing routes
5. It seems to me that he throws flat footed. I think if he improves his footwork, his arm strength will increase
6. He's very accurate when on the run
7. He can step up in the pocket and evade the run
8. He can run faster than Trask and might be just as fast as Franks although he is probably faster in the first 10-20 yards
9. He will be great for us provided that our transfers can play this year.
10. I'd take him if I was Mullen.

Well, let's see:

1. UNL is in conference, I can see him released to them.

2. UC is not as big time, but they might be the only program willing to promise him a job.

3. Iowa State has an up and coming coach and program in a conference where he will face little defense and lots of QBs get drafted.

4. LSU is in the toughest of the toughest conference with a coach with no record developing QBs.

5. UCLA is in another conference where QBs are drafted all the time and where the new guy has a history of wide open offenses.

6. UF is on the easier side of the toughest conference and has a new coach ala UCLA with no loyalty to any holder over QBs and some history of developing QBs and a similar offense to that Burrow has been running.

I am not sure that last point for UF helps or hurts. I would think this will come down to UF, UCLA and Iowa State, but we shall see.

Who is UNL?

You're way, way, way off. You're comparing apples & oranges. Burrow is a legit QB w/ pro prospects. The three QBs you listed were/are career back-ups/walk-on caliber. Burrow is 1B at Ohio State - not Oregon State....or Purdue, or even Notre Dame (as the other three were). The only reason he's not the starter is he got injured and Haskins passed him on the depth chart and played in actual games while he was injured (Haskins entered the Michigan game last year w/ OSU behind and led them to a win). And Meyer still hasn't publicly named the starter (maybe he was trying to get Burrow to return? But he was torn on who 1A and 1B is). This kid will be the starter here the second he walks on campus....for two years. And comparing him to college Russell Wilson is a bad comparison. College Russell Wilson was a 5'11 baseball player who transferred from NC State. And Burrow is every bit as good as redshirt freshman Will Grier.

Anyone pulling the "we didn't want him anyway" (or "I'd rather he not come here") is kidding themselves. This kid turns us into a legitimate contender to win the East this year. Franks and/or Trask will barely give us a shot at a bowl game.

You may be right about him but you’re overstating this. Yes, Del Río was walk-on material. Yes, Appleby was a 3* recruit who was never more than mediocre but did throw for 2,700+ yards for crappy Purdue teams - and was probably a reason they were crappy.

But Zaire was the 3rd rated dual QB as a recruit. He started games at ND, had more game experience than Burrow and beat LSU. He lost his starting job due to injury just like Burrow - except after 2 starts.

Burrow was the 8th rated dual QB as a recruit. He’s thrown 38 passes at OSU. Coach speak is no basis to think he’s this all-world prospect.

Russell Wilson threw for 8,500 yards, 76 TDs vs. 26 INTs and a 161 QBR in 3 seasons at NC State. So you’re right, there’s no comparison to Burrow. None whatsoever. Just not in the way you envision.

He could he like Brock Berlin, who was stuck behind Grossman and did pretty well at scUM after he transferred. But that’s not known and I’d rather they develop Jones & Jones.

But I could be wrong. If he does come, I’ll hope I am. I’m not that sure about any QB until they prove it against the big boys.

The more important thing is that Burrow is a dual threat QB and Mullinz is a guy who uses dual threat QBs.

Sharkfvkker and Crew have no idea what to do with a dual threat QB. Or any QB. All they know how to do is bash the middle with the tailback and throw screens.
