If Toney gets some wildcat packages, I do hope they work on a couple of easy throws for him, as when it finally gets broken out, it’s usually wide open.

This is awesome. But anyone else concerned with the comment "Punting is the most important thing we do" statement. ( I know this is show for giving them schollys.)
To be honest, Townsend was probably our MVP the past few years.

I know it sounds alarming but every offensive drive should end w' a kick of some sort (PAT, FG or even a punt). No one likes to think of a punt as a good thing but it means the offense didnt turn the ball over. Look, I hated to punt when I was calling plays. Sometimes you have swallow your pride and make the other team work to get the 40 yds back you gained on the punt.

We will be punting early on in the SEC games (hope I'm wrong) so DM is putting a big emphasis on punt team. I think DM is good a great job of pointing out non stat positions and hopefully making everyone realize how important every player is in every play. No plays off!

Excited to see what the Gators can put on the field this season. Go Gators!

No not concerning at all...punting may be considered bad for the fans but is critical. Even the best offenses have to punt at some point. I can't remember the stat but Urban used to spout some crazy stat about how the winning % of a team that blocks is very very high. So shields for the punt is very very important.

Well, Gators now have younger brother Tommy Townsend as our punter, RS-Jr.
In h.s. he average 43 yards per punt. Coming out of h.s. 2 concerns ranked Tommy as the #1 punter. He transferred to UF from UT, so he had to sit out a year. That ought to make him chomping at the bit to boom 'em for us.

Them Townsends = Dad Clay, Mom Susan are UF grads and Tommy's brother Clay Jr. is attending UF now.

It was something like 80% or 90% of the time a team blocks a punt in a game they win. We blocked one against Michigan last year and lost, proving Mac could lose a game that 80-90% of coaches should win.

Add that with the 80-90% change of winning when you D gets a pick 6, you have the worst coach in America

Hell, we had 2 pick 6’s and a blocked punt I believe. Wonder what % of teams lose in a game after accomplishing that.
There probably arent that many teams who have hired two straight coaches who managed to achieve the complete absence of offense.

Tennessee? Yet even when we win less than 5 games a year they are one of our wins,
They had some offense. They couldnt score against but they scored against some. Always abused direction teams. We didnt.

No defense. Or anything else.
