On a more serious note --- Sargent Joe Friday (Jack Webb) and Office Bill Gannon (Harry Morgan) remind us who we are.
The Jack Webb trilogy of Dragnet, Adam 12, and Emergency was ahead of its time.
Johnny Carson. Not this sorry assed hate barrage at 11:30 that passes for comedy. Nobody will ever come close.
Of course, when I think Jack Webb this automatically comes to mind.....
Toxic masculinity.
Chuck Conners by the way had a brief Major League Baseball career as a first baseman for the Chicago Cubs for part of one year. He played several seasons in the minors before becoming an actor.
Carol Burnett Show was brilliant- The Mrs. Viggins skits with Tim Conway. Conway also was a member of the McHales Navy cast mentioned earlier. The Brady Bunch was a childhood favorite. Carol Burnett was one of the funniest shows of all time. I saw one on some obscure channel a few weeks ago and laughed my ass off. Harvey Korman would routinely break out in laughter during skits.
Lost in space was one of my favorites, especially the robot.
As far as my favorite TV series? No question...
The Thunderbirds (English)
