I think everyone here believes that winning the SEC East a lot in the next 5 years and hopefully getting past the SEC West team more times than not is a realistic expectation.

And if you can't get the gest ... its the counter to saying people are harassing others because they aren't happy enough. That is the point. We are back in the conversation with actually having a realistic future of winning again. Can't even remember when that was a thing around here ... been a long time. And ... it sure doesn't look like we are a flash in the pan either as the 2020 class is looking stellar.

Saying that is a factual reflection of our current situation and with a so far quiet offseason, other than reports about our players hitting it hard in the weight room, flags being raised point to our players focused on next season. It is perfectly okay to look at this and smile a little. But its also perfectly okay to recognize that while everything is going great, we still got ways to go. Its his 2nd year. Pressure is going to go up. I think at this point, what we all can agree on whether we are reflecting on our current position or starting to grasp the enormity of next season, I think we can agree that we are all rooting for the Gators to win and Dan Mullen to succeed.

Didnt yall get the memo ... a dumper is creating a new pumper cubby hole and she is calling it pumper dumper. So, no ... this isn't the pumper/dumper thread. It is the pumper/pumper dumper/dumper thread.

Ala is easily the angriest pumper we have.
:lies:
LOL... dude... the extremes you go to are hilarious... I'm not angry about anything... In fact I've said very little in this entire thread. And I've been on both sides of the fence on many issues so say very little until I feel settled about it rather than just spew whatever comes to mind. But I love it when I speak up after weeks of mostly reading posts, and say I'm satisfied with THIS YEARS results, I'm labeled an angry pumper... I'm a lot of things, but that's not one of them.

The funny thing is you were a pumping mo'fo about a week ago... For about 48 hours, I thought someone had kidnapped you and had taken possession of your laptop. It does however, absolutely amuse me, as soon as I say something positive, the "dumpers" come out and call me an angry pumper. I'm pretty balanced man. I see both sides of the coin... but whatever law'donkey, you do you...ass...

Auburn DE signee Charles Moore also signed with JUCO as a ‘formality’

According to this he is waiting on a grade. It's hard to imagine the CC annoucing it this way if they didn't think he was coming for sure though.

You don't know much about the CC world. They are always scrambling for any notice at all, not just for the sports program, but for the school. So that a "famous" recruit signed with them is a big deal for them whether he ever comes there or not.

In all my years of following recruiting, I've only seen one quality recruit choose academics over football. It was a good LB that committed to UF years ago, but went to Princeton instead. Every damn time they talk about the importance of academics, they choose the worst school on the list.

Kevin Carter says “Go Gators!”

Well, Im not to quibble with your math but this is certainly one of those times when statistical terms like mean and medium would serve well. That is they had three classes that were top 10 and one outlier (probably when they were full). Tonsay they averaged 10 when they had three top classes and two elite ones doesnt quite tell the whole truth, does it?

I can also show you, somewhere a comparison regarding 5 stars and 5 star and high 4 stars) showing that Clemson has been top 3-5 rosters for a long time.

That kind of stuff matters.

If we have a #4 and a #6 class to follow this #9, Im sure everyone will be happy, particularly if our team quickly fills up with a Clemson- sized helping of gamechanging five stars. (Our five stars seem to have been anything but gamechanging lately.)

Clemson is reasonably well-coached and extraordinarily prepared. They have a giant coaching staff that rivals Bammers with literally hundreds in the bowels of the building cutting film and grading and doing game prep. It matters, too.

Moreover, Clemson, frankly, can get away with slightly less depth, as they are in a two team conference and the second team is a dumpster fire.

We dont have several of these luxuries.

That's cool... I agree with everything you said.

However, I included both championship years. I did notice though, that in true lawyer form, you left out the 16 champions who won the championship with THREE classes OUTSIDE the top 10. What was it you said??? "That doesn't tell the whole truth does it?" I guess it doesn't when you selectively choose one and leave out the other that doesn't validate the point you're trying to make.

My point was (using Rivals) we finished 8th... and I expect us to get inside the top 5. Their best years they finished 8, 6, and 4. So inside the top 10 twice and top 5 once. AND how long did it take Dabo to start cracking the top 10 regularly? Mullen did it in year 2 and If he continues to focus on Florida, we'll be top 10 every year (as we should be, but he finally got us back there) and we'll be top 5 most every year. I like the trajectory and with the exception of missing on a 'biggin on the DL, we did really well considering were we started from...

We're actually not that far apart. I just noticed the tone starting to turn negative and unwisely spoke up, making myself a target to the so called "dumpers".

I'm sorry I responded. You're right. I was lazy. It was awesome being a pariah and hated on here. Lazy. Yup. You'd think going with the grain and just floating along with everyone else on the LAZY river would be "lazy" instead of being accused that you are a serial killer. Yeah, that sounds lazy.

Clueless.

The founder dumpers also are very thin-skinned if the water flow is disturbed.

I just don't understand why anyone is bitching. ****. We did really well this year. It's odd that certain pumpers are complaining that it isn't happy enough. LOL. That's all. Hell, rainbows are shooting out of my damn ass.

First you need a coach.
Then you need either top 3 classes (see Bama) or top 10 classes and a lights out QB (see Clemson).
Really pretty simple.
