Ain't the truth.Ha. When I'm trying to be the voice of reason you know some shyte is weird.
Nobody knows the trouble I've seen...Being Jboss or any other pumper is hard?
they all are, eventually. Is this the pumper/dumper thread?
I don’t believe for a second we could beat Bama with our roster. Not even if they played like sh*t and we played our best game. Just too big of a talent discrepancy. We’re a couple of more recruiting classes away from being serious contenders.Clemson proved Baba can be beat.
Do I think we can beat Bama 3 out of 4 times...no
But I think we can win.
Dude, Begley orders the punch and brownies. She is the social committee.. Maybe it was because Begley was out of the office for a month or two but they need to be much better organized. .
That's nothing but a basic IQ test.Of course he's smart. He picked the good guys!
HOF post!Thank you! We're a spot ahead of the defending National Champs (which has an average of around the 10th ranked class over the last 4 years combined)..... who completely dismantled bama (who has what.?. 4 straight #1 classes)... Not only are we a spot ahead of them but they signed 28 or 29 players, to our 25.... so even with 3 to 4 extra signees, we still are ahead of them. Not bad!
Considering the perennial sh!t show we've been for a decade, I'd say we did pretty damn good. YES... we missed on a big defensive lineman, which we need (People do forget we have a big DL coming in via transfer)... We also improved nearly every position on the team. Not to mention, our blue chipper to 3* ratio is now well above 60% for the first time in years.
Mullen is flipping the talent scales on our beloved Gators back to majority blue chipper. To act as if this class is a fail, is insane! Dabo and now Mullen are showing what can be done with top 10 classes. Hell, Mullen did it with sub-par talent this year. He had the best transition class in UF history last year. Top 10 class this year. Does anybody believe our recruiting isn't going to be even better next year??? We'll be back to top 5 classes in no time, probably as early as next year assuming our current momentum continues. BUT... THIS year was a huge success comparative to what we've had in recent years... As so many say, FIU talent with Mac (and below average defensive recruiting...and some major "reaches") or highly rated classes w/ Muschamp but completely unbalanced classes. He's already stated defensive line is a HUGE priority next year and so far he's doing very well in that position for 2020. He'll address what shortcomings he still needs to fill for this roster through the transfer market while he continues to build his team. The future is looking bright boys. Be happy with a Top 10 class and expect top 5 next year and beyond.
And you know about Begley's role in the recruiting department, how?Dude, Begley orders the punch and brownies. She is the social committee.
The RC and his staff is responsible for this stuff. How the hell did Stevenson not have a direct line to a position coach already?
Im especially not impressed with either DB coaches from last year. At all. Hope they are both gone.
Point is: Common denominator was difference maker at QB and solid coaching. With good coaching and a stud QB (who we hope we have in Franks!), it can be done with Top 10 classes. NOW... I fully expect our classes to start edging into Top 5 beginning next year. So this year was a pretty good start to our climb back to the top of the mountain...knowing our coaching is on task. Mullen appears up to it and also it appears he's upgrading our assistant coaching as well....
Technically I said elite “QB” followed by good talent and good coaching. As I said, the 2016 Clemson team had far less talent than bama and beat them. The difference was a difference maker at QB in Deshaun Winn (sp?). At the time, everyone was in aggreeance that bama had the superior squad. Coaching and perpetration was about equal. A superior QB was the difference. So the difference maker was elite talent... Got it!

Look, for God’s sake, I’m not arguing
That I don’t want the #1 class every year. My point was simple. Mullen walked into a sh!t show. We’d looked awful for nearly a decade. Mac depleted the roster. And all Mullen did was pull the best translation class in UF history. Followed by a top 10 finish in his first season and a number 8 or 9 ranking in recruiting. That’s a huge turnaround! And weee well on the way to a top 5 finish in 2020. That all makes me a happy gator. Why the hell all the animosity over that?
Pretty much what I’ve been saying and being crucified for by a select few...First you need a coach.
Then you need either top 3 classes (see Bama) or top 10 classes and a lights out QB (see Clemson).
Really pretty simple.
THIS is why people say Gator fans are entitled... It's one of the things that drove SOS crazy... We were a losing program when Mullen took over 1 1/2 years ago. What he's done is nothing short of miraculous. Nobody is satisfied... we all want better... but this is a good class THIS YEAR... and assuming Mullen continues this trajectory, it'll be top 5 next year.
He's already flipped the roster so we have 60+ % blue chippers again. He's bringing in 1/3 of the 3*'s that Mac did... That's drastic improvement. Considering the sh!t show he took over, I am very willing to accept these results THIS YEAR... and to sit here and feel we are entitled to a Top 5 class one year removed from a decade of boring and bad football is crazy... I'm satisfied with these results because to expect more THIS YEAR is crazy. I'm looking for a top 5 finish next year, which I believe we all want and expect... but it aint happening this year given the circumstances he inherited. It's really that simple.
Really? This is an absurd thing to say.I don’t believe for a second we could beat Bama with our roster. Not even if they played like sh*t and we played our best game.
I don't know about ironic, but it is certainly worth a 3 day vacationTo quote my post and say “this is why people say gator fans are entitled” and then follow that with saying nearly the exact same thing I said is a little ironic...no?
