That’s my town! Doubt we have much of a chance, but you don’t hit home runs if you’re not swinging for the fences. He seemed to like his visit to UF, so you never know. I hear he’s listing a top 6 soon.
Decent weather for the coaches too. 57 and partly sunny today in rain city. I’m gonna do buffalo sliders, asparagus, red pepper and sweet potato fries on the grill here real soon.
Cracking my beer now.

If a Cali 5* = a Florida 3*, what does a Wash 5* = ? FWIW: The last Wash 5* I recall who was interested in the good guys was Jacob Eason. I guess we'll find out this season how good Eason really is. On a more serious note, Smalls is a HS junior (for a few more weeks) and Rivals says he's 6'5" & 240 lbs. If his frame can hold more weight or he can play LB, I'm all for it. It does seem we are recruiting more WDE's than we can possibly use.......

Man ... I just read something somewhere and can't find it again. But it said the FBI had recorded conversations of a Clemson basketball coach saying that they just need to do what the football program is doing to keep the payments on the downlow. I was expecting this story to blow up and it hasn't yet.

FBI has video wiretap of Clemson basketball assistant suggesting school’s football program can keep violations quiet

According to assistant basketball coach Steve Smith, who has been on Clemson’s basketball staff since 2012, the Tigers were engaged in attempts to pay star basketball recruit Zion Williamson before he signed with Duke. On the video wiretap, Smith was speaking to former agent Christian Dawkins (who has since been found guilty and convicted for his role in paying players) and an undercover FBI agent when he brought up the success of Clemson’s football program.

“That’s why football is so successful, is if you do it and use resources at Clemson, like you can really keep everything tight,” Smith said on the video wiretap, according to Matt Norlander of CBS Sports.

We couldn’t land stud RB’s in this type of offense when Meyer was here, Spiller and Richardson are the main ones I remember. Both from Florida, Spiller just what 20 miles from Gainesville? Are we still after Emmitt’s kid? Like many on here have said, as long as we got the right fit at QB for this offense, we should be fine.

Keyvonne Lee is the most SEC ready back out there. Bowman is what 5'10", 185? I am sorry that won't cut it as a running back in the SEC. Maybe as WR, in the "Percy" role but not as a regular running back.

Bowman is listed at 5'11 190...but he's closer to 200 now.

Lee is 220+ and his 40 time is slow, so he probably needs to lose weight (for now, until he gets into a college S&C program). He likely plays at 220+ in college.

Don't try to talk yourself into the "we didn't want him anyway" thought process w/ Bowman. There's a reason he's ranked so high, he's legit.

If we get Lee, we're in good shape. I'm not sold on Smith (but would still take him). Maybe Bowman changes his mind before December? Either way, it's a huge miss by our staff.
