One guy has played in the NBA. We currently have 4-5 guys that will likely play in the league.
I once posted about the pro potential of several guys on some UF basketball team. Someone argued with me and as it turned out only one or two had a cup of coffee in the Association. So having 4 or 5 guys "likely to play in the league" means little. Not many guys get drafted and if you look at UF's current roster:
1. Lewis is expected to be drafted NOW, but we shall see in after a year in college.
2. Nembhard might make it but is not an NBA caliber athlete.
3. Blackshear seems unlikely to be drafted, getting a year older rarely increases ones draft prospects.
4. Locke does not have NBA SG size or athleticism.
5. Johnson has the athleticism but not the size.
6. Mann might have the lead guard skills for the NBA, but there are lots of guys his size.
7. Payne might develop but then Chris Walker might have developed.
8. I don't see Bassett, Gak or Stokes as NBA prospects, how about you?
9. It is hard to know about Glover, but he is really small or Jitoboh.
So where are your 4 or 5 likely to play in the Association? All of these guys are fine college players and hopefully make a great college team, but I see 1.5 maybe likely to play in the NBA.
