1983's 28-3 rout of the eventual national champion at Florida Field?

The 35-23 win at home in '85?

Adding a late FG in 2008 to remind UM what it did to us 28 years earlier?

The '71 Gator Flop?

Or maybe this, the only loss of the '84 season, the season opener in Tampa, the first-ever college football broadcast by ESPN. We lost in the waning moments. I was there and it was an electric atmosphere.

'08.

However, if there was one UF moment my dad would always talk about, it was the Florida Flop.

1980 at Florida Field. We trailed by 28-7. We weren't used to losing to the bums. The student section began hurling oranges at the Miami bench. Pissed off by it, Schnellenberger ordered a timeout and then a FG with but a few minutes left on the clock.

Some details fail me. I was either a sophomore or junior sitting on the south endzone in the student section. Mark Ely was a Gator linebacker and Miami had a running back/receiver who went on to play for the Vikings. We were leading but they were about to score a touchdown late to win. I clearly heard Ely in the huddle say we would stop them. The Miami star got the ball and Ely stuffed him at the 3. Win for the good guys.

James Jones one-handed for the come-from-behind win in '82. Yet another electric UM-UF moment.

Wasn't there but heard it on the radio. This is a good moment.

Close to 40 and have none. Even ‘08 was an ugly game. So I’ll say the day we stopped giving them an unwarranted stage and dropped the game.

What would Randy Shannon say?

What would Randy Shannon say?

I try not listen to him, but I’m assuming something about Carl Moore’s elbow catch helping him more than we know.

And to add to my first post, hopefully tonight will be my answer tomorrow.

Say what you will about Meyer, but he had a knack for evening the score. Boom.

The 1985 35-23 win over the Canes in the Orange Bowl. One of the best wins not seen on live broadcast due to our probation. I rented an RV and took a bunch of Gators down to the game. Got a prime spot near the stadium and had a blast. Beating the Canes on their home turf was rare and we enjoyed every minute. Kerwin Bell had a big game and out played Vinnie T.

The 85 season finished 9-1-1, and we would have won the SEC on a tie breaker with UT. But to me beating the Canes in Miami made the season special.

Since I’m 38, I’m pretty much limited to ‘08. Too bad we choked away games in ‘03 and ‘13, then I’d have other choices.

Favorite UF-Miami monent? Oxymoron. I don't like the city of Miami. I don't like the University of Miami. Win or lose I feel the need to shower to get the stink off.

Gracious we gave them 13. They did everything they could for us to blow them out and Driskell was like here have the ball back.

This. I’m 42 and have no memories. I hate that we are adding them to the schedule. They just don’t interest me as a program.

My favorite moment was Wandy Shannon's 08 press conference and the immortal quote of "this will help us more than you'll ever know."

The fact that miami of all teams complaining about running up the score was sheer poetry.

I loved it. I still love it. Here's hoping Mullen one-ups Meyer and calls for a TD late in the fourth.
